Decent Tool
1st off - on Amazon web page for this product, it states, that the base of this tool is ""METAL"" it is NOT, it's ""PLASTIC"". Stuff like this just T's me off. This was the primary reason I purchase this gauge, over all of the other available ones. In Today's world, a Torque Angle Gauge is a necessary tool in one's tool cabinet. Especially, in engine overhaul or any place where torque is critical from the manufacture. The problem with the standard torque wrench is getting the 'exact' torque required. This is due to the improper use of the tool itself. A lot of people will just yank hard and fast on the torque wrench or worst yet, repeat it several times. Doing so, will go beyond the actual torque setting. Small diameters bolts can be well stretch beyond their parameters, causing minute fractures and premature failures. In the old days of 'Beam Torque Wrench', the procedure is slow and steady to the desired setting on the scale. And sometimes, it was common the add a couple of more ft-lbs. The click style Torque Wrench made it easier to hear the setting vs visual. With the 'clickers' as us old farts called them, the procedure is still the same, 'slow n steady' until it clicks. Yanking hard and fast like a Rambo will cause an erroneous setting, 'meaning going past that click'. Torque Angle has a more precise accuracy on ft-lbs applied, even though it's not measure in ft-lbs, but in ""degrees"" of rotation. Kinda like an Oil Filter, where an addition 2/3 to 3/4 of a turn when the rubber seal touches the metal. For us old guys with experience, we really don't need this type of tool, especially when it's 1/2, 2/3 or 3/4 turn. We just visualized our reference point and turn the wrench, plain and simple. However, the manufacture wants 80, 120 or 135 degrees of torque angle, that's damn tough to visualized. For me, in a pinch, I've a cheap circular drafting tool that has a degree scale on it, where I can mark out my require rotation. However, having a tool like this makes my job easier, faster and precise. Also easy to read. The dial indicator is approx 2-1/2" in diameter with black bold lettering for poor old eyes like me. A couple of important notes: 1...Torque the bolt 1st in ft-lbs 2...Then turn the degrees of rotation required - MAKE SURE the tool restrain arm ""DOES NOT"" on you a...It is not recommend to stop and restart this procedure in mid-stream b...Some will say, start completely over again - loosen - re-torque - then degree rotation I DO NOT do 2a or 2b Usually, Degree of Rotation involves a ""Stretch Bolt"" - THEY CAN NOT BE REUSED - unless approve by manufacture. Hope this helps

Worthless Junk
This piece of junk appears to work fine in your bare hands, with no load on it. But when you try to use it to torque a bolt, it slips and does not move the angle indicator correctly. You can seriously mess up your project if you don't notice the malfunction. It is a crappy design, relies on inconsistent friction from a rubber o-ring. The weak center joint allows it to tilt when under torque, causing the o-ring to slip. Don't waste your money. I saw similar advice on a review and bought it anyway. My mistake. Returning it.

It just works
This angle gauge works. It is much cheaper than a digital angle gauge and does take a little setup to use but it is accurate and performs perfectly when properly set up. As I rarely need such a device, I'm glad I didn't have to rig something DIY up (that may or may not have been accurate) or spend a ton of money to get a tool that does the job and does it quite well. I'm glad this inexpensive option exists. I'm very satisfied with the performance and price of the tool. It's not fancy but it works as it should and gets the job done.
