Good information, but not much more than you’ll find with a 2 minute internet search. This book is over rated.

This is an excellent tutorial of Modbus - and a great reference too! Before reading the book, I was experienced with using Modbus or thought so. When I had success getting devices to communicate, it was honestly more about luck. I had many more products, some PLCs and thermostats for example that no matter how much time invested, Modbus communication never worked. The book explains the structure of Modbus and small variances that can exist among product types. That solved my issues. Now everything Modbus is quickly implemented and is as simple to deploy as many have claimed. Mr. Rinaldi, how about a book about MQTT?

Shipment arrived as expected and in good condition. This book is really covers MODBUS architecture in very clear detail. Good book for control system designers to have on hand.

Had to learn how to use Modbus TCP for an Automation Project. Between this book, a couple of You Tube videos, and a special piece of test software I was able to get a hold of I was able to complete my goals.

E' un piccolo libro che si può leggere dopo cena. E' poco tecnico. con questo solamente non sarete operaitivi, ma può essere un punto di partenza, o una spalla se state già studiando il sistema.

bien, buen libro me indica la historia y aplicaciones de modbus y despues nos remite a una pagina con mas informacion, solo le falto la programacion en si del protocolo

not a great book, I don't think the author is a natural writer, but then the other book on MODBUS didn't have great reviews and this book is cheaper. The most interesting stuff is regarding the products available from the author's company. There aren't many pages.
