Q: Does anybody use this bag and store a toughbook type laptop in it? I can't find any info on the size of the laptop area.

Not sure how wide the toughbook is but I have a Dell laptop with a 17 inch screen and it fits well with at least an inch and a half more width to spare maybe two. So if the Toughbook is no more than 3 inches thick it should easily fit..

I don't feel the laptop, and mobile printer would fit. The middle pocket is wide but I feel you would be cramming both devices in the case. Furthermore, cramming the laptop and printer would limit what tools could go into the outer pockets.

Q: Could the laptop pocket be used to store gauges? I’m sure it could but I’d like to see what it looks like in there. Pictures would be helpful.

The laptop pocket is padded and could easily store gauges. I store a hand stapler, gloves, and a back up hammer in the pocket. The pocket is deep and does not have partitions. Hope that helps.

Q: My laptop is 16.5" x 11" can this bag fit that?

The internal measurements are barely 16 1/2" wide and 11" high so you may be able to wiggle that laptop in there if you're lucky depending on how thick the laptop is. Being that it so close in size, I couldn't say for sure. Best to trial fit the laptop in an actual bag. If it doesn't fit, Amazon will maybe accept it as a return?
