Apples are both delicious and healthy, but a bit tedious to prepare in slices. This is a very sturdy utensil that cuts the perfect sized slices and removes the core. There are still a few tiny bits of the things that surround the seeds that I use a knife to flick off the slice, but is so much faster. I find it easiest if the stem is removed, and put the apple on a cutting board in my sink. Stand the apple on the top, or bottom, whichever is flattest. Center the slicer over the core, press down while rocking the slicer a little as it slices through the apple. Quick and easy snack!

This is a get what you pay for product, I still don’t understand why people believe they are getting something fancy for the price. I looked at a lot of reviews before purchasing, and made a decision from there. The blades are not sharp, but they do cut through the apple. Of course if you are too forceful with it, it might break. I just push down enough to get it to slice through. There is no need to speed through it. I also peel my apple first so that may be what makes a difference here. It was easy to clean, just used my dish sponge. It is a bit big like most apple slicers are so keep that in mind, because you will have to have a place to put it.

9 months later it has lost it's dullness. Worked very well the first few months, now at months 8 we started having more difficulty with slicing..

Works well. Feels like it might not last long term but I will have to wait and see
