I am exceptionally happy with this hedge trimmer and cannot recommend it highly enough!It offers Extremely effective cutting, is light and Easy to handle, has a long battery life, theres no cord or gas involved, its fairly priced and, a serious time saver.- it takes me 1/4 the time of hand cutting.Three years ago, I planted many gorgeous bougainvillea which are prolific and have killer thorns. I bought this because even hand trimming them regularly, the bougainvillea were growing out of control. I started trimming two days ago and am thrilled with how easy this trimmer was to get going and use, how beautifully it cuts and shapes, its power, the fact that its light and will cut through rather thick branches and, has already saved me many hours of time.. My bougainvillea have not looked this nicely groomed in a while.This would not be for everyone.... but, in case its helpful to you. I've successfully trimmed the grass (weeds) in my small yard with this tool, it worked very well, saved me the expense of hiring someone and, was a serious workout.I am particular, on a budget and 62 years old. The item arrived quickly. It was very easy to assemble. At my advanced age assembling items can be a major problem if grandchildren aren't available. The battery charged quickly. My first use was stellar. It was very sharp. It trimmed the many shrubs in my yard quickly and easily. I already own a B & D string trimmer which I really love but I hesitated about getting this item because it was a little more than I wanted to pay. So very glad I did. Both item batteries last much longer than I expected and the batteries are interchangeable. Science has come a long way since I bought my last set of lawncare tools. So happy that my son recommended these two products. He said it would be the perfect items for little old ladies who need light weight, easy to use garden tools--light weight, easy to start and run, last a long time, need only normal care to keep them in good shape. I'm fairly sure that they will both out live me. Very glad I bought both of these tools.

I purchased this Black and Decker 20V MAX Cordless Hedge Trimmer over a year ago and have enjoyed the ease of use. As a petite person, it is light and powerful to trim dense hedges and small tree branches effortlessly, in a single battery charge. The battery takes several hours to recharge after each use, but about 30 minutes or less, the next time it is used. I trust Black and Decker brand, having used other garden and home products from their line that have lasted many (10+) years.

This hedge trimmer is excellent. Easy to use and cuts through everything I have put it through. Cut up to 3/4" shrub branches easily. Smooth and quiet operation. Light and effortless to use. Only con is the battery life is short. The thicker the cuts the less the battery lasts. It has done everything so nice I will just order another battery. The battery takes a long time to get a full job so If needed for over a half an hour you really should have 2 batteries unless you just want to do some today and some tomorrow.Updated 6/06/2022:Excellent clippers. Super heavy duty. Battery last approximately 1 hour. I ordered a 2nd battery and can now finish our acre yard.Cuts like new. Never had any problems or hiccups.Definitely the best we have ever owned. Stays sharp. Just clean, oil, and put away.Works flawlessly!

I own multiple B&D 20V products and love them all. They are well made, durable, easy to use and long lasting. Perfect for residential use and worth paying extra for. The only problem here is the guard and handle requires 6 Phillip’s head screws to install and instead of providing them in a package they are factory installed and are tight. So you have to have the right size Phillips head screwdriver or you risk the chance of stripping the head of the screw. I went through 4-5 screwdrivers before finding the right one. I’m not an expert. This is just my opinion/observation.Otherwise this is a quality made product with premium steel blades and motor action. Light and easy to use.

My initial expectation was sacrificing some power for the convenience on not lugging around a cord or more likely two pieces of a cord by the time I finish, was well worth it. I must say that I am extremely pleased with the B + D 20V MAX Cordless Hedge Trimmer. I have a large, fenced lot and the neighbors have all types of bushes, shrubs and trees that butt up against and in most cases, right through the fence. After charging up the battery, I decided to see how the new tool would tackle this tough job. I could not believe how well the 20V trimmer cut through large blue spruce branches, arborvitaes, dogwoods and anything else I needed to cut back. It is very light and I was able to reach right over the fence with one hand and then stabilize with the left hand. On two occasions, the trimmer jammed however the POWER COMMAND button fixed the issue in seconds. Quite impressive. I finished all of the trimming in about 30 minutes and the battery never slowed. Overall, very impressed with the power and functionality of the hedge trimmer. This is a must buy especially at the price point.
