Cheap upgrade
First time I've ever tried to do anything to my MAC, usually through fear of wrecking everything. But these memory were very easy to install on my mid-2011 machine (having first checked out Youtube). The most obvious improvement is that applications now open almost immediately, instead of having to wait 20 seconds or more. Also the Mac connects to wi-fi almost instantly from sleep mode, which previously could take up to half a minute. Very happy.

Timely delivery, well packaged, good match
I got the 2x 4GB OWC memories for my old MacBook Pro (2011) which originally came with 4GB DDR3 RAM in the hope the upgrade would alleviate the potential strain on the performance in further use. The memories slotted into place easily and the System recognised it immediately, although the speed is higher (1887 MHz) than the original (1333MHz), which is presumably better. The price of the 8GB seemed to justify the purchase for what it was intended - to get the laptop into working shape for the basics, as I also intended to replace the old battery which was deformed, pushing against the trackpad making it almost unusable. At present the fan is on most of the time and am trying to ascertain the cause. I don't believe the new increased RAM has anything to do with it but the High Sierra macOS v.10.16.4 or some bug.

Works perfectly for Mac Mini Mid 2011
Upgraded my Mac Mini (mid 2011) from 10.6.8 to El Capitan then to High Sierra and now it’s 10.13.6.The machine then became incredibly sluggish. Open one window and it would literally take 2minutes to open. I off course did all the recommended solutions I’ve found online and noticed not much of a difference. My machine’s RAM was 2GB!! Yes. Ridiculously low by today’s standards and so upon researching many RAM cards I decided to buy from OWC the 8GB RAM cards and WOW!!My machine is back to running smoothly and efficiently.Be cautious. There are two sets of 8GB sold by OWC, 1.3V and the 1.5V.If you have the same MacMini as me then go for the 1.5V, which these RAM cards are.So MacMini, mid 2011, model 5,1, with 8GB RAM runs OS High Sierra 10.13.6 perfectly.Hope this helps.
