World of Warcraft: Ultimate Visual Guide, Updated and Expanded

The book contains beautiful artwork as well as simplified information about the Lore of World of Warcraft. But because the book is simplified, the information does not specify details of information such as the novels does with Arthas' childhood and his horse Invincible or how Illidan truly felt when Tyrande chose Malfurion over him. I guess you could say that this book is just for people who are new to the Lore of World of Warcraft and who wants to get a brief summary of it in just 200 pages rather than thousands whether it be in the books or in-game content. I love the visuals the book contains which is a mix of the concept art, the World of Warcraft comic book's art, in-game art and etc. The books contents is categorized as: 1) Introduction 2) The Chronicles of Azeroth 3) The Alliance 4) The Horde 5) The Pandaren 6) Heroes and Villains 7) Behind the Scenes Now the book's information isn't just about the MMO version of Warcraft but also the previous games about it. Although I have yet to finish reading the book, my favorite part so far has to deal with the Chronicles of Azeroth because of how the book explains the timeline as well as the important figures within that timeline such as the Titans and Sargeras, the Burning Legion, Ner'zhul and the War of the Ancients. Unfortunately, there is little information about the Old gods which is to be expected considering that they are still a mystery in the Lore. The design of the book is magnificent because of the hard cover and a removable book cover to have the cover of the book just show the design of the cover without any text. Just see the picture of the product and imagine it without having the title as well as the text in the bottom. Although the book still has the publisher in the back as well as the barcode but that's alright I guess. Overall the book deserves a 9.5/10 and 5/5 for the moment. Perhaps I'll come back to edit it when I finish reading the book.

First off let me start by saying I am not a real WOW player (as my girlfriend says). I bought this for her as she is really into WOW. But I will say this guide is awesome. I really like the artwork and think the character designs and having some background and history as to the characters, classes, and lands is cool. It helps me understand it all. I have always been a fan of the idea and like the older WarCraft games. I still go back a play Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne. If you know a WOW fan, I think this is a done deal and here at Amazon it was half price for me compared to our local book store.

I saw this new Visual Guide for pre-order and I didn't want to get it. Well, I did want to get it but there was really no reason to. I had torn myself away from WoW about 2 years ago after countless hours of questing and raiding. I thought I had left it all behind. I don't know why I bought this... Or even when... But it arrived and it was glorious. The artwork is incredible and the guide does a great job of showing the who's, what's, and why's of WoW. It won't make you play better but I have an even greater appreciation of how Blizzard has created this incredible lore and history that has lasted through the years. It is a beautiful book and, even though I didn't want to, I am glad that I purchased this.

As I stated above if you love the game WoW, just started out, coming back etc this is a must have book. The graphics are stunning and the visual aids are super nice. Whomever helped with this at Blizzard deserves a bonus. My girlfriend keeps stealing book as she just started playing in Mists so she is loving the fact she can learn all the old lore without having to ask me 20 questions. I like it as I have been playing since Crusades and there is much I didn't know about some of the old lore that I missed. It is really a must have for any WoW enthusiast.

Let's get this straight: This is a hardcover, beautifully done art book with large pages filled with artwork covering (to some degree) just about every major aspect of World of Warcraft. As an added bonus, all the artwork comes with blurbs or stories about the characters, objects, places, and events depicted. The artwork is fantastic; staying true to the World of Warcraft spirit with vibrant, colorful scenes that leap out at you. The oversized pages really help the art sink into your brain and it will not take long until you want to dive right back into that world. At the current price (~$20), this is a fantastic deal and I cannot believe the amount of content that you get. This book goes great on the coffee table of any fan of WoW.

I really like this book; I have just started to buy visual novels, guides, etc. about games that I like. This is the third one and the book is great; it does have a lot of information of Warcraft world, which brings me back many memories (I stopped playing one month after Pandarian for a massive lack of time). The content is very good and I would buy it twice without doubt. My only complaint is the packing, the box did not have enough air bags and the cover got a slight damaged but the product is awesome.

I pre-ordered this not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of great artwork, and very well written text. I sat down to glance through it, and ended up reading the entire thing in one sitting in about 2.5 hours. Even though I knew a lot of the lore, there was a lot I didn't know, and this filled the gaps. Great "coffee table book" too. The only criticism I have is that it advertised a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff which only consists of a few pages near the back of the book that doesn't provide any insight at all, it's just like "photos from BlizzCon," etc. I didn't order it for that, so wasn't put off by it, but some might be.

Blizzard seems to make only quality products, I have most of their art books and they're some of the best in my collection. In my mind you can't go wrong with my with this book, it's exactly what it says it is. Stunning.

Vi este libro en una conocida tienda de música, libros y videojuegos del centro de Madrid, y me llamó la atención. Como ex-jugadora del WoW, siempre me ha encantado la historia que gira en torno al juego, especialmente de algunos de sus personajes como Arthas o Alamuerte. Es un volumen grande, de tapa dura, y con numerosas ilustraciones, por lo que su precio (unos 25€) me pareció muy bueno. Cuál fue mi sorpresa al llegar a casa y buscar en Amazon y ver que lo vendían a poco más de 10€. Lo pedí, y recibí el mismo libro que tuve en las manos en la tienda ahorrándome más de un 50%. El libro, como ya he dicho, recoge la historia del universo de World of Warcraft, desde los Titanes y los Dioses Antiguos hasta Pandaria. Las ilustraciones son de gran calidad, y hay numerosos detalles sobre los acontecimientos, personajes, razas, armas y localizaciones del juego. Incluye también una sección "behind the scenes" que, a modo de curiosidad está bien, pero es bastante corta y pobre en contenido. El libro está en inglés, pero por 10€, aunque no entendáis el idioma, si sois fans del universo WoW, solo por las ilustraciones, sin duda merece la pena.
