Bird bath works just fine, easy to install and clean. Been running about a week with birds all around it at my feeders. But so far, none have needed a bath. Maybe they are like most of us and prefer a shower: )

Bought one for my mom since she likes watching the birds but can't have a traditional bird bath because we live somewhere with lots of mosquitos. She was able to install it herself and can pull off the actual bowl part to clean it or empty it when she needs to. The birds love it too, and thanks to the light color it doesn't absorb a ton of heat. However, sometimes the bowl part ends up in the yard after windy storms.

I used to work with a songbird rehabilitator. I got a pretty good understanding of birds' needs, as we raised MANY from hatchlings (or even eggs) to maturity and release. Birds prefer a bath that will accommodate them from wingtip to wingtip. Some prefer a certain depth, some don't care as much. This birdbath is 30 seconds to install, and very stable. However, its size will accommodate only birds the size of sparrows or smaller. The bottom of the bath is deeply cupped, so only birds who will stand in 2-3" of water with a wingspan of about 8-10" will be happy with it. I get lots of sparrows at my feeders; they haven't gone near it yet. Ovenbirds could fit, but haven't tried. Grey catbirds are not picky about depth, but haven't showed any interest. I have it in a fairly shady spot near trees so they could dry off/preen safely in the branches. No dice. No takers. It's ironic, as I also see lots of starlings, who bathe as often as they possibly can, they love baths - no interest at all. So - I guess it's a great product, but I don't think birds agree with this ratings system. Hence the two stars off.

It was easy to assemble and clamp onto the deck railing. I bought this item for the plastic bowl. I didn’t want a metal bowl in case it was too hot for bird feet in the sun. There are four notches under the rim of the basin that the frame sort of snaps into, keeping the bowl firmly in place. It’s still easy enough to remove the bowl without the water sloshing all over me. I have not tested it in gusty wind but I don’t have to tie it down, as I thought I would. The inside of the bowl has two levels, a deeper center (for big bird splashing, rocks, or maybe a heater) and a shallow around the top edge. The shallow has made removing the ice after a cold overnight very easy. I just use my finger or a flat screwdriver to lift the ice. After a few weeks I’m very satisfied and so are the birds.

This is a great little bird bath! Railing attachment is nice and secure, and was big enough for my thicker railing. Everything feels sturdy — had a crow playing around in there today and it didn’t budge. The plastic feels pretty thick, but am curious to see how it hold up over the winter. Easy to clean. As of right now, would def recommend!

The bird bath is a real treat for the birds and I enjoy watching them taking their baths and drinking water on my balcony.

Nice product - birds love it - when it’s wet I use it as a feeding tray and when it’s drier as a bird bath - very versatile and easy to fit on balcony railing

False misleading listing I am absolutely fuming Grossley misleading dimensoins. The one you sent me is barely 3.5cm depth but your says 15cm depth. Keeping to use a bird feeding table. Hoping for a partial refund.
