I have an Canon EOS 90D and it works very good it was easy to put together and use. The length of the cord is about 6 feet which for me is perfect. The dummy battery fits just a real battery put the cord through the notch on the side of the battery compartment And close the cover turn the camera on it works just like a real battery and registers as a fully charged battery on the Screen. I recently used it for a long exposure creating star trails which worked perfectly.

It works perfectly with my Canon 60D and I've been using it for several years without issues. Can't record podcasts without it and it seems that is going to last.

The device works perfectly and I like the bag included which is generally a nice additional piece. One thing I suggest before ordering is making certain you have full access to the battery chamber. I determined quickly that in order to connect directly on a Canon EOS R I couldn't do so. No fault of the device but the camera battery door or body has no access for a the ac wire and the battery door has to be totally closed in order for it to work. It just happened I have a 3rd party dual power battery grip that has a rubber sealed cutout for the cord. Problem solved!

I have a Canon EOS 80D Digital SLR Camera that I use mainly for video blogging. It works perfectly. One key thing to note is that you have to tuck the cable in the little slot so that you can close the battery cover. The camera has a rubber flap in that spot that allows the cable out of the battery compartment and allows you to close the cover. If you can't close the cover the camera won't turn on. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because I need to see how long it will last. Otherwise it would be a 5.

Best accessory I have purchased for my trusty 70D... I started using this aging camera as my primary webcam, the quality is incredible compared to standard webcams. Using the Gonine ACK-E6 is a must when using your camera as a webcam. I have had no problems with the power adapter, and it even came with a cleaning cloth and storage bag! Couple of things to watch out for: - if you run your camera for a long time (hours) be conscientious of heat. It is a power adapter, prolonged draw will increase the heat, and our cameras do not do well with excessive heat. So when possible, shut down the camera between sessions to prevent heat build up, or get a good fan to help with air flow (while trying to avoid fan noise!) - to reviewers who cannot get it to work because door will not close - DUH! Have you ever read your camera manual? The door must be closed for normal operation. That is why they have the little plastic or rubber stopper next to the battery door to allow the cord to pass through - for those who fried their camera - ya, that sucks... it is a risk for any external power supply that does not have good power regulators. My experience with Gonine is the adapter does get a little warm, but I have not experienced any functional issues to the 70D chassis so far. Gonine says they have "overcharge protection, overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, overtemperature protection, shortage protection, and lightning protection", but how can we tell really without doing extensive testing? I guess time will tell, but so far so good (I have about 100 hours use so far) So I am happy and satisified with the Gonine ACK-E6 and would recommend to others. Cheers

I'm sure this works fine with some older cameras, but it DOES NOT WORK with the R6 and probably with other recent models. The reason is that those cameras, according to the documentation, require a battery to be present before the camera will power on. What it SHOULD say is that they require a battery to be present AND THE BATTERY DOOR TO BE CLOSED before the camera will power on. And as the battery door cannot be closed with a wire sticking out of the bottom, this product does not work with those devices!

it works great w/ a 7D2, no heat generated by the adaptor. it may introduce noise if an external audio recorder is plugged into the camera but that is the case of pretty much any power adapter...

Works exactly as expected. You probably want to have an actual Canon battery cover though. I tried it with an after market cover that seemed to fit just fine but didn't close snug enough to engage the battery. If you're using this in a battery grip, you should have no trouble either. Overall I rated this 5 star, and at first knocked off one in the material quality, because the fake battery just feel like it's hallow. But then I realized, there's no point in just adding weigh to make it feel like a regular battery. All the other components feel solid, so 5 stars all around.

First day. Make sure to place cable in battery adaptor as seen in my pics. Not following this advise could cause strain on the cameras battery door. If installed correctly no pressure on the latch on the battery door and will close perfectly.

I am suprised there arent enough reviews on this. This works perfect onmy 90D Been using for stream 2 times a week every month. Been almost a year using now. Each session last 3 hours. Works without a hiccup.

I have been looking for a dummy battery compatible with my camera for sometime now, was very happy to find this on amazon at a good price too. Very pleased with the product so far and the little bag it comes with is a great addition.
