I was looking for a styling product that would provide body and hold to my hair without a shiny look. This Viking product is perfect. This my second can so I think I’ve found a hair product that checks all my boxes. I have wavy/curly hair that I like to stay in place, but also look natural. Viking provides me with that natural look. I use a dab about the size of a nickel and apply with both hands throughout my hair. I also like the fair price for this product as well.

Works as intended!! I have long thin straight hair that is stubborn to style. Clay provides all day hold. Since it is a clay, put a little bit on your had add water and then apply.

It does the job good enough, but it would be better if it had some kind of scent to it. When I use it it just smells like I'm putting something that smells like unscented lotion or cream in my hair. A smell thats kind of plasticy. I'm sure its the natural smell, and its not horrible and doesn't stop me from using it, but a better scent would give this product 5 stars in my opinion

While my husband does like this product, I don’t feel I can give it higher than three stars because of the incorrect ingredient listing. I was looking for a more natural hair gel and I was so happy when I found this product because the only ingredients listed on the Amazon listing are beeswax, bentonite, seed oil, castor oil, lanolin wax, kaolin, glycine soja oil, fragrance, tacopherol, and cetearyl alcohol. I scoured the listing three times looking for other ingredients but these are all that’s listed and there is not a picture of the actual ingredient list on the container. Hair gel arrived and the ingredient list is way bigger, with over 20 ingredients. Was not happy with the fact they didn’t list all ingredients.That being said, my husband had already opened and used it so I couldn’t send it back when I realized. He does seem to like it. It doesn’t have as much hold as his previous hair styling cream but he likes it because it feels lighter. At the end of the day, his hair still feels soft and natural and doesn’t have that greasy- need to wash out ASAP- feeling.

This is a clay, it is supposed to have a dryer look, is very good and holds very well. Good for the money and very washable. No-shine.

Edit 6/26/22:So after a couple weeks of using this product, I noticed that it seems to work better on damp hair. Better yet, after you've rubbed it between your hands, use a little water (no more than a drop, or it will begin to wash off), and mix it between your hands again until it gets really creamy, before applying the clay through your hair. It seems to spread more evenly, and the longevity of the hold has been much better. I've also had an easier time combing it through using this method, and getting the look I want to last longer. Granted, the hold still isn't as strong as they say, but it has been working better for me at least.I've bumped it to 4 stars mostly because I like how it's been making my hair feel, and using this trick has been yielding better results. Will update again if I figure out, or find any other tricks.EDIT 6/16/22:I reduced the star rating from a 5 to a 3 after using it for awhile. While everything in the original review still stands, I would like to add that the hold does not hold up in high humidity or sweat. While my hair didn't fall flat, after some time, I would feel it move, and I could run my fingers through my hair as if I had nothing in it at all.One bright side; the product still on the individual hairs assists with setting everything back in place, whether with a comb or my fingers. It also makes my hair feel soft.If they could keep the natural ingredients and increase the hold, this would get a 5 star from me again.ORIGINAL REVIEWI've seen many reviews complain about the smell, and while the scent is its weakest point, in my opinion, it's really not that bad. Like others have mentioned, it smells like lotion, but considering the ingredients, it makes sense. Giving the clay a light scent of something a little more masculine may do the trick (something woodsy or earthy maybe), but I don't know how that would mess with the formula.Seems to hold pretty good, but not the strongest. It's pretty easy to apply too. I'll review again in a week or so, but as of right now, I would reccomend this.
