I love using these over my kitchen sink drain strainer. Easy to put on and It collects all the food scraps instead of just letting it go down into the disposal to clog it up. I just take the cover off when full and throw away. You do have to rinse/clean off the strainer before putting another one on. I hardly never have to use my disposal - just turn it on to keep the blades from sticking, and to loosen up any grease, etc. that the mesh can’t cling to. The mesh is stretchy so it should fit over a large strainer. Don’t fill up the mesh too much or it covers up the holes and water can’t flow through so water starts to fill up in sink. So glad I purchased this item. Also use mesh in my shower tub strainer to collect all my hair that falls out. I throw it away afterwards until I wash hair again. Give it a try like I did. The mesh material may rip if you pull too hard on it.

These are a must have for Sourdough bakers. You never want the starter to wreak havoc on your drains, and this is the perfect solution for washing starter containers and tools. They catch all of the food particles in the sink, and are a perfect fit for my drain. They are stretchy so they would fit a wide range of drains. They are durable, quite versatile, and an excellent value for the money spent. Plus they come with this cute little self adhesive container to keep some handy next to the sink. Very happy with my purchase. Will be purchasing more in the very near future.

I make a lot of sourdough recipes and have to feed the starter daily. I had no idea hour sticky the starter it. Makes sense it would be like glue since it is mostly flour and water. It sticks to everything and dries quickly turning into hard matter. You don't want that stuff going down the kitchen drain. I have the mesh wire baskets that fit over the drain but the dough adheres to the metal mesh and if it dries is really hard to get out of the holes in the mesh. These little fabric bags fit over the drain cover wether it is the sink stopper or the mesh covers like I have. It is so easy to pull the fabric cover off the mesh basket and just toss it in the garbage. Even if it is just bits of food when I scrub out a pan it is nice to know the bits won't clog the drain. I had no idea how much junk goes down the drain normally. 200 doesn't sound like a lot but it is. There is a small plastic box inside that you can stuff full of bags and keep near the sink. It has an opening to dispence the bags. The bags are very thin fabric but strong enough not to tear when full of debris. They have a slightly elastic edge so they will stay on any size drain cover you use.

A lot of lint comes out of my clothes washer from cat and dog hair. This is the easiest way to trap it before it goes down the drain. Highly recommended. I use them multiple times then throw them out and put on another one. Very easy. I use it to cover a chain sink strainer which catches anything big, and this catches anything small.

These are awesome for someone who doesn't have a garbage disposal. Pros: easy to put on and take off. Cons: Sometimes it will rip. Definitely would recommend having even if you don't have a garbage disposal.

These little things are so nice when you want to keep all the stuff out of the drain if you have septic tank. They are so easy to cover your drainer with. I just have a wire mesh drainer and it covers the whole thing. Really stretchy. I haven't had them get in holes in them either. I will definitely keep buying them. They are easy to pull off with all the food in them without everything falling out. A definitely good find!

Basement kitchen sink does not have a garbage disposal and these work fantastic !! Quick clean up. Wish I had thought of this! :)

These little mesh bags do a great job trapping food from going down your drain in a sink without a garbage disposal. So much better than the metal sink drain basket that you have to pick the food out of to clean. Just lift off the mesh bag and throw it away.

These do exactly what they’re meant to: catch all the little food bits and gunk so it doesn’t end up down the drain. It’s not the most pleasant thing to deal with, but I’d rather throw the waste in the bin than risk a clogged sink. I usually change it every day or two depending on how much cooking we’ve done — once it starts filling up, the water drains slower, which is your cue to swap it out. Super handy when you’re rinsing plates, washing veg, or pouring leftover bits from pots/pans into the sink. My routine is: let it dry a bit, grab a paper towel, wrap it around the mesh bag, lift it out, and toss it. Then I give the sink a quick rinse/wipe and pop a new one in. Easy, cheap, and it definitely helps keep the drain flowing freely.
