it took my top-flight dallas ("allergy central") allergist two years to convince me to use this. HOW, i asked, can something with salt/saline be moisturizing? he & my opthalmologist (who is interested in everything medical) convinced me that while it's counterintuitive, it works. since then (about 10-12 years ago), i have used this daily. i have had only TWO colds since that time & during part of that time, i was a kindergarten teacher & exposed to all sorts of colds the kids brought to class with them.my allergist also made me aware that simply saline BRAND was a must as they have a system in the can that keeps the remaining contents sterile. with cheaper "squeeze bottles" when you release the squeeze, germs/viruses can be sucked back into the bottle contaminating the remaining saline. i DO run the nozzle under hot water between nostrils so as to not "cross contaminate". also good before plane trips where the air is so dry in the cabin.this may seem quite expensive, but i've marked the bottom of a can to see how long it's lasting. my current giant sized can was marked "7.20.13" and is just now (4.11.14) about to run out.i used to have colds just like everyone else but this product is SO worth the money to keep me cold-free for the vast majority of the past 10-12 years. btw-i am NOT associated with the company in any way.6.22.14 - can is STILL being used daily so it was NOT about to run out in 4.11.14 after all. so this giant sized can (4.25 oz) lasts about a YEAR. cheap, compared to a trip to the doctor/meds for a nasty cold and without the discomfort as well!8.14.14 - my can was NOT the 1.5oz! it was the 4.25 oz size! but it made it a week BEYOND one year's daily usage!

This has moisture in it. Helps with nasal dryness

Misleading description -- I had no idea r these were so small. Good for travel maybe, but only last a few days.
