CURT 25472 QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2-Inch Hitch Ball, 3-in Channel, 3,500 lbs

I have an old boat trailer that I've hacked up and made into a utility trailer with a permanently mounted rock crusher. It had the traditional flip-up ball lock that didn't hold up through everything I was putting it through. This is the same sort of heavy sheet metal stamped ball socket, but instead of the light duty latch assembly, it has a heavy pin that inserts behind and below the ball to lock it in place and prevent the ball from coming out. I was kind of expecting just a hole drilled through the housing, but was pleased to see they'd welded a piece of tubing across with a radius cut through it to let the ball clear. It is critical that the ball be all the way in and forward in order to insert the pin, which might be difficult sometimes, but isn't much different than requirements for other latches.
