Q: Does the "clamp-on" amp reading function work like in the T5-1000 (reliably, and without needing a ground)?

The amp function of the T5-1000 and T6-1000 operate the same way.

Q: Some of the pics shown, the black clip is shown connected to ground, the meter shows ac volts and current. in other pics only ac volts is shown why?

The T6-1000 is able to show volts and current at the same time, but the T6-600 is only able to show one reading at a time.

Q: can you attach a magnet on the back like other Fluke meters?

The Fluke TPAK meter hanging kit will work with the T6-1000 tester . This kit contains a magnetic holder .
