Very unhappy
This cell is a generic replacement, but the ad and price lead me to believe it was not. I could have purchased a generic alot cheaper if that was what I wanted. The cell cracked where the threads are and water shot out for hours and flooded the side of my house before I became aware of the problem. It was just past the 30 day return period and thats when I relized it was a generic cell. It could not be returned and had to go through the warranty process for replacement. I had to pay an additional $15.30 for 2 day shipping or it would come 7 to 10 days. My pool was not able to filter, so I paid the extra, but did not receive the replacement cell until 6 days after I called ( two of the days were Sat. and Sun. I understand the extra 2 days). I received no call back from a manager, as I was told I would get when I called to complain about being charged for two day shipping and not receiving it on time. Also the rubber used for the O-ring that goes on the inside of the threaded area is a poor quility compared to the orignal. You can feel the difference, and the generic rubber ring had aready stretched and would not have fit into the grove anymore which is needed for a water tight seal.

Horrible Product, DO NOT BUY
This is a horrible product! The first one that ordered split along the seams, they sent me a replacement cap that held up but the cell died the soon into the second year. They sent me a new cell under warranty replacement, this took me weeks to jump through their hoops, and now less than two years after they replaced that cell this one has fallen apart. The fit was never quit right, always a little snug, when I tried to remove the cell for cleaning the two side bars twisted out of the cell. Horrible, awful quality DO NOT BUY!!!

Another Blow Out!!!
Our Compupool cell split apart at the seam between the cap and threads in its seventh month of service. We have a strap clamp holding it on for now but it still leaks. First, we were told that a replacement cell would be sent. Then, Compupool "lost" our warranty submission. Several emails and calls (takes half an hour to get someone on the phone) later, they "found" our submission but now tell us we won't be sent a replacement cell but rather a "repair kit" that we will have to install ourselves. OK, but the repair kits are now on extended back-order! I wouldn't buy anything from this company again. It's likely that we'll have to buy an OEM cell and eat the cost of this junker... darn!

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY
Horrific. That is all I can say. I purchased this back in March of this year. The first cell I received stopped generating chlorine after 2 months. The manufacturer was actually fairly good in their replacement process, but then further problems ensued. The replacement unit split at the thread after a couple months and the entire face blew off of the unit, losing half the water in the pool in the process until the problem was found. A "new" replacement was delivered on Sept 15th. Guess what just happened yesterday (10/30)....the face blew off again! Unreal. STAY AWAY from CompuPool USA.....Terrible manufacturing QA processes is the only reasonable explanation.***UPDATE - 5/15/12 - Guess what....Another blow out! Seriously....STAY AWAY!

terrible
didn't make it a year - we are on our 4th cell - coupled with terrible service - should not even be on the market. Our pool is just sitting as we can't get a replacement..
