Excellent design, great handfeel, writes with some feedback
I'm a big fan of this pen, which looks and feels far more premium than it's price tag. It's lightweight and despite a few drops, and being tossed around in my bag, it is still fine with no damage or scratches. It's not as durable as a brass pen of course, but it's tough enough. The pen was also a lot of fun to use - I'm using it with Kaweco black cartridges because it looks like a "serious" pen to me, and there's a definite feeling of feedback when you write. It's not a scratchy pen at all, but it doesn't have the slick glide that you get with some pens either.Overall, I'm very happy with this pen, and looking forward to trying more from the brand in the future.

Very Impressed - A Worthy Beginner Pen or an Alternative to Lamy Safari
I am very impressed with this pen - I got the Fine nib in Silver colour. It's my first Faber-Castell fountain pen, and I am loving it. For me, it's much more comfortable to hold than the Lamy Safari or Al-Stars. It posts securely, and those with larger hands would probably find that better balanced, although for me it fits beautifully unposted, which is how I prefer to write. I just have it inked with the cartridge that came supplied with the pen - it would have been nice to have a converter included, but at the bargain price I got it for, and after testing it, I immediately ordered some converters as this is a keeper! It's a wet writer with very subtle feedback and very very smooth. A good sign of a pen is that you want to write with it: and that's certainly the case with this one. It's very comfortable to write with. I like the way the pen clicks closed securely, you can carry an extra cartridge in the barrel. I would recommend this without hesitation as a beginner pen or an everyday pen for your desk. The clip is smooth and secures nicely if you like using the clip. I have left this unused for a week and it writes again no problem. Winner!

Good pen if you can find it discounted.
Generally very positive impression.A light pen but doesn't feel flimsy because of its metal (aluminium?) construction. The nib is extra fine by European standards, but still not as fine as a Japanese nib from Pilot for example. The cap also posts easily.UK availability of the full Hexo range seems limited - and costly when you do see them - so look out for discounted models.

Comfortable, smooth and light
This is one of the better writing Faber Castell fountain pens I own in my collection and I really love this. It's lightweight and the fine nib is really smooth. Pleasurable writing experience. Nothing else to add.

Nice colour and finish but feels lightweight
The colour and finish were nice but it was a pity it didn’t have even basic packaging to protect in transit, just received loose in the cardboard envelope which wasn’t well sealed and it could have fallen out. Also the refill provided didn’t work which was annoying, fortunately I already had compatible refills.

Faber Castell Hexo Fountain Pen
Beautifully weighted very good proportioned extremely smooth writer, very pleased with the purchase of this pen. I like broad nib pens and for me it is just perfect.

Smooth writing all the way
Smooth writing all the way, no drips or splodges. I'm using it with Quink and it's great. Handwriting has improved no end. Would definitely recommend investment in a good pen. Might think about a medium or fine nib next time as there's a limit to how small you can write with a "broad" nib.

Let down by loose fit between barrel and nib unit
This is an appealing pen, I like how the cap has a simple mechanism to ensure it aligns with the barrel when fitted, and provides a satisfying soft click close. There's a similar mechanism used in how the nib unit screws on to the barrel, a satisfying soft click. However, it's a bit of a loose fitting and you can feel a slight wobble between the two parts when Holding the pen during writing, it's quite distracting. The Faber Castell cartridge converter is also not a secure fit. Whilst it doesn't leak, it rattles.Nib itself is good and I like the shape and appearance, but I'm disappointed.
