You get more than what you pay for.

Worked great with the arduino liquid crystal library. Build quality is excellent, very thick and bright.

But 1) They don't give you the pin out - just a Fritz 'picture' of the circuit board. I made the pin out table, in the attached picture 2) Their sample code is overly complicated if you are using this as one of your first LCD tools (as I am). Just try lcd.print(" Hello World!") ; lcd.scrollDisplayLeft() ; delay(250) ; lcd.scrollDisplayLeft() ; delay(250) ; lcd.scrollDisplayLeft() ; // etc. Actually, put the above in a loop, but I don't want to complicate the example.

These 2004 displays with backpack are easy to use with an Arduino using I2C and the Adafruit library. I'm using mine with an Arduino Mega 2560 and it's working perfectly
