I do not have a micro wave-do not like after taste in food. I use a toaster oven and I would Not place anything on top of it. If I were you I would Not put anything on top.

Q: Will this mat make the finish on my hard wood floors bubble?

Why is this mat going on the floor? This mat is Made for counter tops. If your counter top is a wood block, I don’t think using the silicone mat would cause any harm to the wood block.
