These Georgia work boots are made from spr™ leather; as a result of the way it's been tanned, it has 3 times the strength and is able to resist abrasions 2 ½ times better than traditional leathers. It is also highly resistant to barnyard acids and caustic chemicals. You never know if an object is going to drop on top of your feet unexpectedly, or if you might step down onto something electrical as you are working. These work boots were built with a steel toe; it meets the astm f2413-05 i/75 c/75 protective toe classification, which means that it is able to withstand up to 75 lbs. Of impact and compression. This footwear also complies with the astm f2413-05 electrical hazard standard. Keeping your feet comfortable is important. With that in mind, Georgia built this footwear with a cushioned insole covered in a soft material; it provides comfort for your entire work day. You'll be able to walk along steadily and the arches of your feet will be supported due to the steel shank. A vital component of this men's work boot is goodyear® welt construction. Putting the footwear together this way enhances its durability and strength, plus it allows you to have the outsole replaced by a shoe repairman once it has started to wear down. Great coverage and manly looks are a part of the Wellington’s charm. This tough pull-on-style work boot from Georgia Boot features full leather construction and a steel shank for added stability. A cushioned midsole and insole coddle your hardworking feet, while a rubber outsole takes the bite out of every step. Every item - right down to the last hard-working detail - can be traced back to 1937 when our passion for footwear was born. It started with a tough farm boot and a simple belief that boots should work as hard as the people wearing them.Thousands of styles and refinements later, Georgia Boot continues to do whatever it takes to give workers, farmers and hunters exactly what their feet are asking for. For every harsh condition on the job or in the field, there's a design from Georgia Boot to provide comfort and protection. Whoever you are, whatever you do, wherever you need to go. Look for multiple comfort features from Georgia Boot. Review: Sizing is accurate. - Best boots - hands down. I'm a heavy construction, hydraulic specialist - blue collar to the core. My fingers look like sausages. In the past I have tried every brand worth trying. These boots in particular are my go to for personal comfort, style, durability, and on the job functionality. I love the fit of them. Add your own insoles for enhanced Arch support. The break-in period is fairly short. A couple full days of use and they will feel great. I keep a clean pair on the side for my daily lifestyle. I've worked 14-16 hour days in a warehouse during inventory season with these on - still really comfortable. I've kicked the toes on every sharp corner or every peice of heavy machinery in my wake walking through, dirt, oil, and mud a thousand times - the steel toe has not poked through, though there are gashes and stains. Beuatiful boots, period. They have proven to me, everyday. 100% worth every penny. Review: EXCELLENT BOOT!!! - I've had these boots almost 1.5 years. I wear them 14+ hrs a day. I work in hvac. I wear them on the weekends to cut wood and work on cars. I've owned Thorogoods, Carolinas, etc. These are hands down the best. They fit like a pull on boot should fit. The shaft is not too wide, like most, that leave the boot falling off your foot all day. The lining has held up great. The leather is excellent. I can't count how many times I've hit them with sheet metal. Every other boot I've had the leather cut very easily. Not these. I've already bought another pair to replace these. Excellent boot.

READ THIS BEFORE PURCHASE
READ THIS BEFORE BUYING! The boots are good, but aren’t listed properly. The two colors are not the same boot. The Soggy Brown is a Georgia Giant soft toe, while the Barracuda is a simple wedge with a steel toe. Both are listed as steel toe on the specs, but only the light brown boot has the steel toe. I originally ordered the Soggy Brown because I liked the style and color better. After reading some reviews, I believed the boots were steel toe. The specs verified. But upon receiving the Soggy Brown, I realized they were soft toe boots. I did an exchange for the light colored boots after realizing all the reviews talking about the steel toe were for the light colored boots. The lighter-colored Barracudas arrived and I verified the steel-toe. These are not Georgia Giants; the label describes them as ranch/barnyard boots with steel toe and electrical hazard rating. So there you go. The boots are new, so I can’t speak to product longevity, but they seem comfortable. I just wanted to clear up product confusion from ambiguous descriptions.

4th pair I’ve gotten!! Highly Recommend
A great choice if you want classic, rugged work boots that look good and handle daily wear, especially with the added protection of a steel toe. Just be aware that quality seems mixed depending on the pair, so inspect them when they arrive and use the warranty if anything seems off. Overall, excellent value for the price if you’re okay with a short break-in period.

False advertising
Good looking boot and look well made but they’re useless in my line of work because they’re not steel toe. Amazon advertises them as such but they’re not. I looked up the model number on the Georgia Boot website and they show them as soft toe. Because of my work schedule I bought them from Amazon because I don’t have time to go to a boot store. Now I have to make time to return these and go to a boot store.

A Great Looking Pair of Boots
I'm a pipefitter in a shipyard and I demand rugged and tough, yet comfortable boots. The past five years, Georgia Boots have been the only boots that I will wear and I have no issue with paying a premium price them. I've owned the lace-up version (8" Giant ST) of this very boot before and wore them slam out and I'm currently wearing the 11" Mud Dog Comfort Core Pull-On ST WP boots, which I've had for nearly two years and are still in good shape - I walk at least 10 miles a day in them. As for this boot (Giant Wellington Work Boot), I wanted a physically attractive and comfortable pair of boots that I can wear with jeans during the Winter months. I don't care if it says "Work Boots" in the name - these boots fit the bill. These boots look great. Nearly every time I put them on around a group of people, someone will comment on the boot's physical appearance and desire to know what brand and where they can purchase them at. Georgia boots do have a steep break-in period to loosen the leather up, but once they are broken in, they are tremendously comfortable, even for all day casual wear. While I'm used to the sizing of Georgia boots, they always run a half size smaller than my normal tennis shoe fit for a slip-on boot. This allows for a tight fit on purchase, but keeps the boot from becoming loose fitting after the break-in period. As for Georgia's lace-up boots, I've always purchased them the same size as my normal tennis shoe fit. With this in mind, I find that these boots fit just as I would expect, as I would think that most other people would as well. One other great thing about this boot is that it comes in sizing options for those of us with a bit smaller than average foot. I wear a size eight boot in lace-ups, but for a slip-on I prefer a 7.5, which can be tremendously difficult to find in any retail store. Being able to order the exact size I desired here at Amazon after traveling all through the city earlier in the day looking for these boots was fantastic, especially when the price was a bit cheaper for needing the smaller size. Shipping took only three days too! In summary, these boots looks great and are well-built. There's a tough break-in cycle, but it's worth stomping through. Georgia Boots continue to keep me one happy costumer.
