Practical Hydrogen Systems: An Experimenters Guide

Excellent primer on safe handling of hydrogen systems
For a beginning experimenter this book was surprisingly comprehensive. The author's emphasis on safety is much appreciated as hydrogen is a squirly element that is extremely dangerous if misshandled. This text is a must for anyone interested in experimenting with hydrogen systems. As someone who has actually handled hydrogen and experimented with it before I appreciated the coverage from electrolysis, purification, safe storage and leak detection. Two thumbs up!

A good overview of future energy needs
Well written and easy to understand. I do however would like measurments and weights to be metric. Would save me time and effort converting all the time

Good but not great
It's hard to pin down what I wasn't crazy about but here's my shot at it:i. the first part of the book was very genericii. the second part jumped into a method of generating hydrogen, including the identification of the electrolyte chemical to use, but not much explanation as to why or what other substitutes could be usediii. Even the experiment / apparatus presumed that you would simply follow the way that they wanted you to do it rather than present various ways the work could be doneiv. Wasn't much theory supporting the reasons why you had to do it the way they saidOne positive: it got me more familiar with what this is all about
