ESP32-C3-DevKitM-1 Development Board

I needed a dev board with newer bluetooth compatibility and gave this one a try.The bluetooth picked up newer devices with a strong signalThe over feel of the board has a higher quality feel than many others I have used.

I quickly checked all three with blink and a dht11 through a mqtt server over wifi. They all worked. Time will tell if they last.

Regarding the product photo, it’s correct now. Antenna connector is smaller than U.FL but if you have to, the male piece can be bent to fit.

The image and the model number do not match here, and unfortunately the error is rather significant: the board does not have an independent pcb antenna as shown, it has an MHF4/IPEX connector, which is what's used on most modern m.2 based wifi cards today. Antenna's are easy enough to come by, and *WILL* be better than a PCB antenna, *BUT* it's rather an unexpected find and means you may need an extra part for this.

This model of the dev kit requires a hard-to-find antenna for any of the wireless functionality to work. The product photo shows the other version of the dev kit with a built-in PCB antenna.This product seems to work fine for what it is, but the product photo is showing a different product. Make sure you check with the official Espressif website to get the correct model based on model number.

The product photo shows the "ESP32-C3-DevKitM-1" and not the "ESP32-C3-DevKitM-1U" (ie. the "1U" instead of "1"). The "1U" version requires an external antenna (not included).The item I received also had damaged (bent) shielding above the ESP32 chip.
