Awesome Deal
Just installed this 2 zone unit. I called to get the extended line set at 25' vs the standard 16' Followed the directions step by step and used Nylog sealant. No issues during install and everything came out perfect. Both units are functioning awesome. QUIET AND COLD or QUIET AND HOT. Left this photo as an idea for anyone not wanting a metal stand or pad. I just got the "L" brackets and mounted them to some 4x4 posts. Make sure you dig down at least 2ft and backfill with some rock on bottom and concrete. Then make a support joist between the two posts for extra measure. This way you can build a nice dog house around it for winter months and run it in even colder temps. UPDATE: The temperature outside is 4F or 28 below freezing! It is still pumping out heat strong. This performs awesome and is well worth the money spent. My electric bill hasn't increased enough for me to even notice. Super Efficient!

It works, but isn't convenient.
I'm disappointed. We bought the 3 indoor unit model. We also got the internet modules that let you control it from the cell phone. App is pretty poor. Very limited as to what you can do and no explanation as to what it is or how to set it. The heat/AC unit itself is quiet. The indoor units are quiet. But they don't keep a temperature constant. If you set it to auto, temperature will vary 5 to 8 degrees with no predictability as to what it will do when. Set it to 68 at night and wake up to 76 degrees......it heated but never stopped heating. It seems that if one unit is heating they all heat even if the room is already above requested temperature. I had a heat pump years ago and it worked far better than this. So far best I've been able to do is have it come on and heat for 30 minutes and shut down by using the app. The thermostat on the unit just seems useless. I set the living room to come on and cool in the afternoon. Someone had left the bathroom on although the app supposedly turned it off. So the living room didn't cool all afternoon. It was supposed to cool until 6:30 and then shut off. At 6 I found the bathroom heat and turned it off, so living room came on to cool. I finally turned the cooler off manually at 8 o'clock as it never shut off. Bedroom unit can be set at 68 and it will vary from 66 to 72. But if its set at 70 and then you turn it down to 68 to go to bed, it continues heating to 76 degrees until I turn it off manually. Don't know when It would stop by itself if I didn't turn it off. I set living room to come on at 3 am and heat up to 68 degrees and turn off in 30 min. When I got up at 6 am, it had heated but the room was still at 72 so not sure how high it heated the room before the 30 minutes was up. Very confusing and doesn't work at all like I wanted it to. My dream was to set each room to a temperature and just have it heat or cool to keep it that temp. This is still a dream and this unit won't bring that dream to fruition. It will work to heat and cool my house with a lot of manual intervention, but certainly isn't automatic or convenient. I'd try a different brand if I had it to do over again. Not sure if they're better, but doubtful they work this poorly.

Pioneer air/heater
It seems good deal but it won't work as I expected. It would be better if buy a single air/heater which I have one , it works real good. Prices are right.

Love this unit even though it has been a learning experience
These are fairly new around here. The installation cost me 1500 on top of the purchase price. I love the fact that I only run the units in the rooms I am using. I split the system into 9- 9 -12. The 9000 models are whisper quiet and keep each bedroom at a perfect temperature. The larger unit is in my living room kithen combo area and it can be heard running. The noise level is akin to a window fan. Still way less noise than my old central air unit. The only "con:is the air conditioning can be too cold when running downstairs. I know it said I needed a 12000k unit for 500 square feet and too cold I guess really wouldn't be a complaint for most people, lol. The heat was perfect while it was cold. The costs are also much cheaper than my central air. Now for the only cons I can see to purchasing this and it would not prevent me from purchasing again. 1. I had to purchase longer line sets, it really doesn't make clear that the line sets that come with it aren't long enough if you are running units from a 2 story condo. I had to purchse 2 more at a cost of about 80 each. 2. The outside line set covers they sell here to go with them? Don't bother. They are expensive at about $60 a set and still weren't enough to cover my outside lines. I have done some research and am having the seamless guttering person out to run matching colored downspots to cover them. They willl blend in much better and look much tidier. If your siding is a common color you could go to a home improvement store and buy down spouts yourself for about $10 apiece.

Working well!
Installed this system myself with a bit of help from a friend. It was definitely a big job. Installed 2 on the main floor and 3 on the second. I had no experience with installing these or any other hvac system. I am handy though. Everything went pretty smoothly. Running the linesets was the most difficult part. I got it fired up for the first time yesterday and am so far very pleased with the results. I payed a local hvac tech to come and do the start up for me since I lack some of the specialty equipment and I can't buy freon. Prior to buying this system I had a company come to my house and quote me for a mitsubishi system. It would have cost about 15k$ with labor. I completed this install with about 3 full days of work and spent less than 5k$. The specs on this system are even higher than the mitsubishi system I was quoted for. I am very happy with this purchase. The quality of everything included was also excellent. I purchased my system from highseer.com as it ended up being a little cheaper then ordering from amazon.
