I tried a number of other digestive enzyme products before finding this one, and it has made a remarkable difference in my digestive health. All these practically unintelligible letter designations for different levels of enzyme (HUT, FTU, DPPIV) are confusing as all get out, but I did my research (oh boy did I ever) and Nature's Wellness has a robust and balanced formulation that is not only amazingly comprehensive, but provides just the right levels of enzymes for optimal digestion. If you are like me, and eating is stressful due to all of the foods that cause digestive troubles, being able to take a tablet before eating that eliminates pain, belching, bloating, and dyspepsia, and is affordable (!) seemed like too much to ask for. However, after trying this product, I was impressed with how I no longer had to worry at mealtime. I could eat more variety of foods which would normally cause problems, and have very minimal discomfort after eating. Digestive enzymes are no miracle cure. My digestive issues are more complicated than enzymes can solve, but they sure do make a difference. I am able to have more of a social life now that I can go out to dinner with friends, and not be frozen, menu in hand, desperately trying to find a dish that won't completely ruin the rest of my evening. There are a number of different enzyme products out there, and I've tried at least 8 different brands before choosing this one. Many expensive products work fine, but become too pricey to keep purchasing bottle after bottle. Nature's Wellness has made a high quality product that outperforms even the most expensive and flashy competitors, and they have priced it reasonably. It's refreshing to deal with a company that acts with integrity. If you have intermittent digestive distress after eating heavy meals, having a bottle of high quality enzymes around to take prophylactically before your rich and heavy meals is totally worth it. And if you have chronic digestive trouble (and there seems to be no safe foods out there, like me) this product can really improve the quality of your life without destroying your wallet.

Within the last several months I began to experience horrible GI symptoms, such as excessive bloating after every meal, a gnawing pain under my upper left ribcage, 'explosive" flatulence...and let's just say stools that were COMPLETELY abnormal!...These digestive enzymes, that after much research I decided to try, have helped me immensely. I'm 58 yrs. old and as we age it can become more difficult for our stomachs to easily digest our food in the first place, then add to that "Leaky Gut Syndrome" which I also have struggled with. But I finally discovered that a certain medication I was given for severe depression (Lamictal), can actually cause acute pancreatitis in certain individuals. And the pancreas (besides producing insulin) releases essential enzymes to specifically digest fat. My gut was an utter mess! So I would take one capsule before a meal and one after, and I must say that these certainly have helped my compromised GI tract!...As I've been weaning off of this medication and using these particular digestive enzymes, the disturbing symptoms have slowly been going away! They also have fewer fillers, and seemingly just the correct amount and type of enzymes (for the pancreas too), that are needed to digest AND ABSORB carbs, proteins and fats. *Plus this company stands behind their product 100%. (PS: I am in no way trying to slam the medication "Lamictal" and understand that it has probably helped myriads of people for varying diagnoses. But for me, my body simply rejected it. Thus slowly getting off of it AND using these specific digestive enzymes, my GI system is finally stabilizing and healing. Thank God!)

Better than I thought it would work. I only take for a few days at a time and then one or two days off. I broke out in acne the first week but the second week my face cleared up nicely. Bloating def decreased but I still retained some fluid. But overall, it is a good product to get things moving in the right direction. Drink plenty of water

I have tried other digestive enzymes. But this one is my go to one due to the price and quality. Others will give you only 30 capsules for the same price whereas Nature's Wellness brand will give you 120 capsules. I take this when eating grains, especially foods which have phytic acid like wheat (breads), oats, nuts, seeds, and rice. The phytase helps break down the anti-nutrient phytic acid which is bound to phosphorus. Phytic acid can bind to minerals in the food its in and also bind to minerals in your gut preventing you from absorbing those precious minerals you need. As well as wrecking havoc on your digestive tract and contributing to leaky gut. I also take these after or before a big meal of protien, fats, and carbohydrates. In those cases i take 2 to help break the food down more. You should also take 2 if you are mixing protein and starch, like meat and potatoes since research has shown mixing high starchy foods with protein can take days even weeks for it to breakdown. And sometimes not even breaking down at all letting it putrefy and decay in your gut releasing toxins due to the lack of digestive enzymes that allow you to breakdown the food. You need this especially if your getting older due to the depletion of enzymes that come with age. I have tried many that dont work as good or upset my stomach. But these have helped me the most and have even allowed me to feel less joint pain since im digesting my food properly.

My doctor diagnosed me with IBS last year because I complained about constant bloat, indigestion, stomach pain, etc. It is miserable for me to eat even healthy things like beans, veggies, and apples because they cause so much stomach upset. It's been a constant battle for years dealing with IBS. Then my mom suggested digestive enzymes because they had great reviews here and contained many different enzymes to aid in digestion. Though I was hesitant about the price, I decided to give it a whirl. Well I am highly satisfied with the results! Although the company recommends taking one to two pills every day, I stretch them out to last longer so I can't say how effective they are for the long term. I still have IBS symptoms. But when I do take a pill (or two) with a meal, I notice a considerable difference, especially in stomach cramps! It also keeps bloat down some, although like I said, I can't say if it helps rid of it since I don't take the recommended dosage each day. And if you have an especially sensitive stomach like me, it is best to avoid junk like fried food even if you take these pills with them because the enzymes don't work as well for really greasy stuff. Overall, for everyday meals, these enzymes work great for stomach cramps and bloat!

If you use enzymes you will start to notice you have energy again, as your food isn't rolling around in your stomach trying to break down, they aid in this process which is so beneficial for your body. I've tried different ones and I like everything that is rolled into this product and have been happy with using it.

I have been taking omeprazole (Prilosec) for some 13 years. I am and have been aware of the nasty side-effects of this drug, but felt it was necessary. Before being put on omeprazole by a gastroenterologist, I experienced acid reflux every day. In spite sleeping with a wedge and not eating within 4 hours of going to bed, I still experienced acid reflux every day, which I treated with baking soda dissolved in water. The gastroenterologist conducted an endoscopy and removed tissue from my lower esophagus which she thought indicative of Barrett's syndrome. The lab determined the cells were benign, but it was clear that I was on the very edge of developing esophageal cancer. I relieved my symptoms with omeprazole. Five years later I had another endoscopy performed by a different gastroenterologist, who also took a sample of tissue thinking I had Barrett's syndrome. I did not. He surmised the discolored cells were scar tissue in my esophagus related to my previous acid reflux. Whenever I tried (some 5 or 6 times) to stop taking the omeprazole and use probiotics instead, my acid reflux came back. For me, it looked like it was either omeprazole or esophageal cancer. Some 4 months ago I tried Nature's Wellness 'Digestive Enzymes Supplement'. I found, that if I took it just before I consumed any food, and then took a tablespoon or more of yogurt or kefir, I did not experience any acid reflux. I no longer need omeprazole or any other anti-acid drug. I waited these four months before reviewing the product to make sure I was not fooling myself. I was not. Nature's Wellness 'Digestive Enzymes Supplement' really does work! In my case the yogurt or kefir seem to be necessary to its efficacy, but it works.

I was very skeptical if this would work but I am blown away! For me it's a miracle! I have had severe bloating, gas and stomach upset for several years since my esophageal/stomach surgery. It didn't matter what I ate, I got sick and was basically living off imodium, fiber and gas x with minimum relief. My first dose of Nature's Digestive Enzymes was nothing short of a miracle! First time I was able to eat and not immediately get sick and make sure I was close to a bathroom. I have figured out it is best to take it at least 25 minutes before eating. It is wonderful not living on the GI cocktail that gave me little relief. I definitely would recommend this to anyone. It does work!
