Great for learning stuff
Read loads of stuff to learn better. This book is the best one out of the lot. I don't want to learn tricks just want to remember very dull IT work stuff. This helps without to much about names faces and a zillion cards. The reference to historic memory exercises are great as our Brains have not changed but nowadays too much noise around this subject. This book Anki and loads of mental images replacing dull stuff will work to remember anything. Just put in the work.

A true Memory Journey
I've read a lot of books on memory, from the Greeks up to the present day (Derren Brown) but this book took me even further. Highly recommended for both novice and expert.

Opened my eyes!
I came across some of Dr. Kelly's videos on Youtube and decided to purchase this book. I think that this is a great book for the following reason. Most other memory books describe how to use memory palaces to memorize the sequence of cards or long strings of digits, skills that I have no need of in real life. What's great about her book is that she shows how to apply these memory techniques to learning something useful. She describes how she uses them to learn French and Chinese languages, for example. This it what really makes me want to learn and practice these techniques, the ability to actually learn new things.

Good reading
But the paper quality is not good. The paper tears so easily. I have applied cellophane tape on many pages already.

Excellent guide to memory techniques
This is a near perfect book on Memory techniques. I've been playing with various mnemonic techniques unsuccessfully since 2017. Because reading books on memory techniques and actually implementing them are two different things. Lynee Kelly's approach really worked well for me as we learn and explore these techniques along with the author. I also learned a few new mnemonic techniques like visual alphabets and bestiariesLynee Kelly, who is an expert with aboriginal people, debunks the myth that the memory palace technique was invented by the ancient Greeks - they were the first to write it down. The memory palace technique is so intuitive that so many indigenous people were using it since time immemorial. Her chapter on medieval writing methods were spot on. This is something which is so basic and so intuitive which we know it works but chose to overlook. I found her art representation towards the end of the book so inspiring that I started taking sketching lessons.Highly recommended!

Introducción a diversas técnicas
