Works great & saves you money
Purchased these to help with our soap turning soft & staying wet. When this set arrived we put one in our bathroom & one in our shower. They have worked so well we both a second set.We decided to see how much they saved us, in the soap lasting longer. Our soap used to be gone in 3-4 days in the shower & 12-14 days on the sink. The shower soap now lasts 6-7 days or double the time and the sink lasts 18-22 days or about 1/3 longer. Just for those reason we think these are well worth it to purchase. We bought a second set for the kitchen & our other bathroom, again because we liked the first set so much. These savers can also be cut to any size you need them to be. This worked nice for us, because in our shower & the one sink the soap section is shorter than these were so cutting both just a little helped them fit in perfectly. The material these are made out of is also very easy to clean when they get a little soap build up. Usually you can just rub you finger over & rinse them. If you let them build up to long, you can just use an old toothbrush to work out the soap residue and they are back to being just like new.Pros:Work better than expect in saving soapCan be cut, if needed to fit a certain size& Easy to cleanCons:Some spots could have a tighter weaveOverall, we love these soap savers and would recommend these to anyone who wants to make their soap last longer, dry quicker & not be mushy. We will be purchasing more of these for easy holiday gifts.Thank you for you time & interest in our review; Greg, Tina & Family

Works as expected
These work just fine, and prevent soap scum from getting on the shower shelf surface underneath.

So far, so good!
I have only been using this product for about a week but I've already noticed a difference in how long my bar soap is lasting, and the soap doesn't get stuck to the soap saver which is so nice. I'm currently finishing up the last of my bottled shampoo and conditioners before switching to bars and I plan to use the other soap saver in the package for those given how well the first one has worked!

Skip the name brand, Generic is better!
My mother has a few "name brand" soap savers, and I wanted to grab a few of my own. This 2 pack is CHEAPER than ONE of the name brand soap savers. This really works, and I love using it on special artisan soaps. The bars of soap last SO much longer, and you don't have to deal with pulling the soap off of the traditional metal and wood soap holders. This would make a good housewarming gift, as most people probably wouldn't think to get one of these for themselves. I keep one on my bathroom sink, and one in the shower. I don't have to buy soap as often as I used to, and I don't feel bad iindulging in pricier, handmade soaps knowing how long they'll last.

Saved my soap!
I use a lot of hand made soaps and hate to watch them fade away into a disgusting puddle of mush! They are a firm material and the soap sits up out of the water keeping it in tact and allowing it to dry. I also have a strange little corner ledge in my shower so I took one of these and trimmed it down to fit and it works like a charm! Now the soap last, stay put on the ledge and doesn't leave a ring of soap in its place. I'm really happy I tried these and glad I went with this type of soap saver ... having the ability to trim it to fit your soap dish is great!

don't use with colored soap bars
the color of the soap will stain this and it will not come off w scrubbing. works though

Ingenious product!
I purchased one of these at a little boutique in Boston, MA last summer. It is a lifesaver in the shower, because my soap bar no longer slides off the narrow soap ledge, but better yet, it catches that soapy glop, that used to be left on the soap ledge, afterward. They are anti-microbial, and they just need to be rinsed with boiling water every so often to clear the accumulated soap from in between the fibers. I was so happy to find them on Amazon. They were much less expensive, and I now use them in my laundry room and spare bath where I have/use soap bars. Wonderful product!

In a Word, Ineffective
Note: At the time of writing, this item appears to not be readily available and pricing is reflective of that (I paid around $10 for a two pack).TL; DR: see my last sentence. The very first product image, which shows the "soap saver" in a soap dish (white interior, brown base), is the most accurate representation. In this image, you can most clearly see the fatal flaw of this inferior product. That is, the little plastic fibres/squiggles/wires that constitute the item are too small. The smaller the fibre, the more densely packed they need to be, the less space is left between individual fibres, creating more surface area. The entire concept behind this item is to reduce the surface area that your bar of soap comes into contact with.My bars of soap stuck to the saver the same way they would stick to a regular surface. Soap residue regularly congealed between the too tightly packed fibres, creating even more surface area for the soap to stick to.In the less accurate product images, the fibres are larger and sturdier, allowing for more open space between each fibre. This is the ideal, creating both a reduction in surface contact, as well as leaving more ample room for drainage. I believe I saw other similarly designed soap savers that appeared to be made from these larger fibres, but they may simply have misleading product images.Ultimately, this is an ill conceived product made to pair with further ill conceived products. If you are buying this, it's because you have a soap dish that doesn't have a drainage tray or because you have some sort of shelving in your shower without adequate drainage. Don't make the same mistake I did. Cut to the source of the issue. Buy a soap dish with proper drainage or get a shower caddy with the same. This product aims to fill a niche created by other poorly designed products and fails to do so.
