Air King9155 Window Fan, 16-Inch,White

The first unit I received was missing screws at the 6 o’clock and 8 o’clock positions.After several email exchanges with Air King (a Lasko Family of Products brand), I was informed by Christine that “it is normal for this particular screw not to be included with the unit.” I found this explanation rather surprising. For reference, I have included the contents of her email below:--Christine (Lasko Family of Products):We truly appreciate your patience while we looked into your request, and we want to provide some clarification regarding the screw you are looking for—a #6 x 5/8".After reviewing your request, we regret to inform you that we are unable to send out the specific part—a #6 x 5/8" screw—as it is not one we carry for direct distribution.This particular part is a standard item that can typically be found at most local hardware stores. We completely understand this may not be the most convenient solution, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may cause. It is normal for this particular screw not to be included with the unit, as it is considered a standard hardware item intended to be purchased separately at local hardware stores. This allows users to select the appropriate fasteners based on their specific installation needs.--Due to this, I decided to order a second unit. Interestingly, the replacement arrived with all screws properly installed. Unfortunately, the new unit is not as well-balanced as the original. However, this is a minor issue—it does not produce any noise, though it does exhibit some vibration at higher speeds.There was a gap between the window and the fan, which I easily resolved by modifying a pool noodle to fill the space.The window can be easily closed when the fan is not in use.The fan mounted quickly and easily in the window.

Worked great! Mine lasted 13 years, and it likely only stopped working because I neglected it and let it run continuously for days.

Works fine, although it's a little noisey. The smart way to use the fan is to place it in the LEAST used room's window. Needless to say, keep the door opened. Then, open the window in the room you want the outdoor air to come into, like the bedroom you'll be sleeping in, also with the door open. Go to the fan and turn it to exhaust mode. This will cause the cooler outdoor air to come into your bedroom window and the noise will stay in the other room, where the fan is located, that way you won't hear it! You can open multiple windows, but of course the airflow will be diminished for each additional window you open.

Works perfectly. It a tad bit louder than our other one. Helps bring in the cold air!

I love all their products, sometimes they don't all fit the right window. So you have to be a little creative like simply making a frame and secure it to the window. Then secure the fan to the frame. Zero vibrations. My house is 3700 square feet and any open window the air is drawn in or out. I have both the 20 and 16 the oldest is 9 years old and going strong.

The media could not be loaded. Box arrived smashed but luckily product was fine. Def feels more heavy duty than our normal twin blade window fan and perhaps moves more air but for the size and industrial looking nature of this fan you’d expect to be to stand in front of it and get blasted with air but not the case here. This unit seems to diffuse air outwards around perimeter. Almost seems weaker than you’d expectAnyways I’m keeping the unit since it feels quality made and appears to “move” more air than our other unit.Also the control knob feels un- ergonomic, kinda slippery and spongy clicks between speeds if that makes sense. Could use some texture so I don’t need to squeeze so hardOverall decent product. (But not blown away amazed lol)

Missing two screws on the metal cage and at least one additional was stripped. This combined with an out of balance fan blade assembly or shaft made it rattle and shake. Way too noisy. I'm returning for a replacement and will see if the second one has issues.
