Tall Shoe Covers - Road 2.0

I like these but they are definitely only meant for one or two rides. They get damaged easily but look awesome.

Used these one time for a 10-mile time trial. Went off of their sizing chart. Things are basically inner tube material made to go over your shoes and mid-calf height. First off, they are a huge pain in the ass to put on. Go ahead and waste 10-20 watts of power by just putting them on. Put them on over some fairly standard Sidi shoes. At the end of the TT I found holes on the inside part of my right leg. I don't have any rub against my crank when I ride and I can only guess that it was from friction against the shoe's ratchet system. The hole came from within. Tried to return them but no luck and put it out of my mind for a month until the next TT. I planned to place some gaffer tape on the inside to keep the hole from becoming larger and maybe get one more race out of them. Instead they ripped completely on the underside of the same cover. Worthless junk.

I was all in for a zipperless design, but these are just too hard to get on and off. Once they're on, they're keep wind and wet out, but they're too difficult to work with. Worth a try at a good price. Sorry it didn't work out.

Makes sure you add grease to your cleat bolts to seal from water, because that’s the ONLY way where water is gonna go in. Absolutely solid. I hosed myself down and my socks were completely dry. Can’t wait for winter.

I have had many sets of the silicon velotoze and this last round of two I ordered were just terrible. They had clearly been in their packaging for a very long time and were stuck to themselves. Had to spend a lot time unsticking them and powdering them. In both cases (I bought two pair), they tore and became unusable after a single ride. This not the quality I am used to from this company. I expect to survive a season at most, of wet and/or chilly riding. These didn't come close. Very disappointed. Returned both sets and the replacements did the same thing, .. tore, no matter how carefully I placed them over my shoes. Really too bad cause I love this product. If they could only make them thicker or more durable in some way, I would use them forever. They work great even in lower temps .. I can leave the neoprene shoe covers at home, which is surprising. And they are high - vis and look great. Hoping for better things from Velotoze.

I bought these anticipating a long day in the saddle and the potential for rain/ mud/ puddles. Although the rain was stopping it was still pretty wet when I set out and these kept my feet nice and dry through the duration of my day (+/- 8 hours). My feet sweat, but not terribly and they stayed "dry" from the outside which is always the real issue. They are slightly difficult to get on as you have to pull the whole thing on over your foot before your shoe but if you take your time and stretch it out they will work great for your needs. That being said, are they the most durable thing I've purchased for cycling, definitely not - but they are great for their intended use and I highly recommend, especially because of the price.

Order a pair, received 1 of the tall shoe covers Road 2.0 and one set that I can only describe as rubber socks, can only assume they are for regular shoes as they have a little texture on the bottom. Aside from the order mishap these are notoriously hard to install and remove as it is one piece, like a foot condom. Suggest the button bottom version to save yourself the frustration and try a different vendor that actually ships what you purchase.

Zunächst schwitzen die Füße extrem in den Velotoze was zwar einigermaßen zu erwarten weil nichts mehr atmen kann bei bei dem Gummiüberzug, war dennoch über das Ausmaß überrascht. Das überziehen ist auch etwas umständlich aber auch das war zu erwarten, wenn man einen engen Gummischlauch über die Schuhe ziehen will. Leider nach wenigen Anwendungen 3-4 kaputt gegangen. Also das Gummi ist gerissen.
