Were a great help

Have been using this book recently to use for SJT exam for DFT. Useful for either DFT/DCT SJT exams and a great range of questions as well as a mock test included at the end.

I bought this book for my DCT1 SJT preparations and was let down. It is not worth £30!There are numerous typos and there was even an editors note left within the text. This, if nothing else, would leave you to question the quality of the book. But after reviewing the actual SJT outline by the DCTNRO, it would appear that the "experts" who wrote the book have, mostly, ordered the part 1 answers in sequential order and NOT in order of appropriateness i.e. they have written it in the order you would do things, whereas the actual exam states that the statements are not sequential and should be viewed as stand alone scenarios that you should rank in order of appropriateness.I will give the book some credit... it helps get you in the mindset of the exam and does give explanations as to why answers are ordered the way they are. This gives some educational value. The Part 2 questions are a bit better and more in line with the DCTNRO's curriculum. But on the whole the questions are largely poor and the Part 1 answers are ranked inappropriately in accordance with the actual exams premise.It's a shame as there's so little out the for dental SJT's.

Useful, clear, structured and well written

Believe that the SJT questions are poorly written and instead of it being the “best answer” they have gone with what is the best action to do in chronological order, which is not the correct way.The answers are also obvious in which one is last and first. Will not recommend this book.

It's very hard to find relevant practice for dental SJTs and this book now allows me to continue my prep from the DTC course. Thanks guys!
