Daily driver, well designed.
This bag is really well designed and it's my standard bag now. I love how I can use it as a back pack or a tote. I don't even bother putting away either straps. I keep both types of straps out and just use it however I feel is convenient. The single compartment design turned out to be very useful. I was able to fit an amazing amount of things in this 20L tote, including 3 rain coats, snacks, 2 umbrellas, 1 water bottle, first aid kit, external battery, etc. I fit so many things into this tiny bag my friend joked that this is Doraemon's 4D pocket. The design is such that as soon as you put anything in it, it feels very bottom heavy. It weirded out the security guards at a local theme park as they kept thinking I put something else in the bag when the bag was almost empty. Every time they held up the bag it felt like something else is still at the bottom. It's not a bit deal though. In any case, buy it. You won't regret it.

Fabulous
Update: I have had this bag for over a year and used it everyday. Still looks new. Plastic clips and hardware are holding up just fine. Only issue is the water bottle holder on on side the seem started to come apart. Just sewed it shut and holding up just fine. Still would recommend this bag. 😍 I have had this bag for almost a month and have used it everyday since I got it. I saw this bag originally at REI, I wish I had bought it sooner this bag is fantastic. I am 5' 3" and the tote straps are long enough and comfortable to wear. I was worried about that after reading other reviews. It carries everything I need and doesn't feel bulky at all. I wear it more in tote mode but I like having the option of wearing it like a backpack when I need it to be out of the way. This bag is well made and seems sturdy. The only concern that I have is the backpack clips. They are small and plastic. I am just hoping that they hold up over time. Other than that I love this bag. It is comfortable to wear as a tote or a backpack and 💯 percent recommend it.

Smaller backpack/tote is functional and fun
Love this small backpack/tote. I needed a small backpack as I have started to use a walker and my usual tote was not functional for this use. I have used it for one trip on Amtrak. I was able to use all of the pockets for various functions: tablet , puffer jacket, snacks, etc It is light and well made like other Osprey bags. It can also be put on the handles of roller luggage. Love the color way.

Probably best backpack for daily use
It’s a really nice color, it’s bigger than what I had in my mind but it’s perfect for the daily use. It is also comfortable to use in both ways, backpack or tote pack, just in the strap for the tote pack is not so long. If you are a person who likes to have multiple pockets to organize better your things this one unfortunately doesn’t have them, this one have the main pocket with a division for the laptop or iPad, one small pocket perfect for the keys and then just the 2 pocket without divisions, and two on the sides for flaks or bottles of water. The material looks good, I hope it be durable.

Buy it and then buy it again!
Love this bag. Use it for a daily "adventure bag". Holds a ton of stuff, and I love that it is versatile, works great as a tote or a backpack. Excellent quality worth the money, this brand always is. I also love that it's easy to clean as the fabric is water resistant. Would buy again! Its light weight, just the right size no matter what the day brings.

Wonderful
The best bag to have for every day. Fits so much and is very comfortable to wear or carry. I got it as my diaper bag and love it.

Not a fan, sorry Osprey
I am in the minority, but I truly dislike this bag. Perhaps my experience didn't match up with the expectation and price of Osprey. I used this for a trip and found it to be very user unfriendly for a couple of reasons. Although it's 20L, it's tall and narrow, with a single horizontal zip opening at the top (that's part of the "tote" aspect), so it doesn't fit as much as it would seem, and to access items one has to dig the entire length of the bag. For context I have a 14L from a Swedish company that fits far more due to shape and zipper placement. There are also very few organizational pockets. In particular, there are three outer pockets: one small zip which is difficult to access because of the width and flap over it, and two larger open pockets that are narrow and deep (so, not secure and have to dig all the way to the bottom if there's a smaller item). Same with the inner--there is just a tiny zippered mesh pocket that is good for tiny items (think keys, chapstick) but that's it. Everything ends up thrown in the main compartment stacked vertically. There is just a lot of wasted space. The backpack straps are also strange in that they slide off, they have a curvature to them that's more like a hydration pack than a typical backpack. As a result, as a backpack, it doesn't function well. It's not great as a tote either--the straps are short so unless you're very short and not wearing any thick outerwear you might be able to carry it on a shoulder--but the tote handles don't serve any extra purpose and flop around when they aren't tucked away into the pocket. So it seems to be for hand carry and not shoulder carry due to the odd handle length. I do appreciate the deep side water bottle/umbrella pockets, the interior lanyard, contrast lining and luggage sleeve, and it is a great fit underneath a plane seat (hence a generous three stars) but to me that's not enough to justify the price tag for this bag. It doesn't seem any better made than any other bag I own, brand name or otherwise. I would say pass on this bag if you are looking for a truly functioning hybrid tote/backpack, because it doesn't do either particularly well. I am donating this bag after one use.

Almost perfect, but a miss for me. BUT with a bit of personal revision, it's now exceptional!
Osprey makes great quality packs. I own at least six, and was really excited to order the Daylite Tote Daypack. It has all the right features, inside and outside zippered pockets, pocket for computer or reservoir, stretchy outside pockets for water bottles, snacks or a windbreaker, hat or gloves. Comfortable backpack straps with a sternum strap and multiple carry options. BUT, and for me this is a SERIOUS FLAW, the carry straps are too short. Tote bags need straps that are long enough to carry the bag over just one shoulder, still providing the hands free carry option we love in a backpack. Osprey really missed on this. Although they show a photo of the pack being carried over the shoulder, in reality, one couldn't actually carry it that way. I'm petite, 5'2" and 112 lbs, and although I can get it on that way, it's too tight, and certainly wouldn't fit over a jacket or be easy to manage through airport screening. Therefore, for me, it's useless as a good hands free carry on, that could also be used as a day pack in town, on hikes or a bike. Sure I could carry it in one hand, but with a bit more thought and carry straps long enough to comfortably carry the bag over one shoulder with hands free, Osprey would have a real winner. As is, it's a near miss. I hope I can return it. I didn't return it, and with a couple of personal revisions, it's exceptional for my needs. First, I added d rings on inside of opposite strap handles so I can attach a single longer strap for hands free diagonal over the shoulder carry. I discovered that my Osprey waist pack could be threaded through the bottom of the pack with the waist pack in front. It then appears to be part of the pack ... giving me easy access to things in front and holding the pack very securely just like the waist strap on backpacks. My "personal item" just grew a bit in size! When flying with my dog underseat, I'm only allowed a personal item, even in first class, and this set up worked really well, with hands then free for his bag.

Great versatile day bag.
Great bag. Each style of handle tucks away into a pocket so if you want it in tote mode just unclip and tuck the backpack straps into the back pocket and vice versa if you want the backpack just fold the tote handles into the pockets. The clips for the backpack are also good for hanging on the back of a buggy. Plenty of space for everything you would need. Well worth it.

Sehr praktisch
Genau so einen Rucksack habe ich gesucht und es sollten mehr Hersteller solche anbieten. Die Verarbeitung und das Umbaupatent ist denkbar einfach. Farbe entspricht den Bildern.

Quality pack by Osprey
Great pack, I use it for grocery shopping and travelling. It’s a bit larger than personal item size for most anirlines unfortunately but otherwise, I like it.
