Tough little organizer.
This awesome tactical pocket protector not only holds all my pens, it also holds my extra Leatherman bits, BIC lighter, magnifying lens, tweezers, stylus for my touchscreen phone, small flashlight and the pockets hold receipts and a small notepad. I can run the 3" tac-ties through the PALS webbing and wear it on my belt or attach it to my EDC rig of the day or my "go bag". Or I can just toss it into a pocket on any pack and it keeps all the small stuff together and organized. The quality is top notch and the zipper is as smooth as butter and really quiet. At under $20 this is one Maxpedition offering that is as affordable as it is durable. I may pick up a Micro as well.

With just a few adjustments it's perfect
This pouch is able to be carried in one of your larger pockets and it is made with very durable material that is sewn up good and strong. And (unlike my Maxpedition micro that I bought first) this Maxpedition mini easily fits a small notebook and is still able to fit very snugly into my cargo pants or preferably in my inner jacket pocket so it doesn't bounce around on the side of my leg as I walk.I didn't like that it had two zipper pulls, so I broke one of the zipper pulls off by crushing it carefully (so to not hurt the zipper) with my vice and I didn't like the large Velcro patch either, so I carefully un-stitched it and took it off also and now to me it looks a whole lot better without the large Velcro patch.I also removed the plastic clip on the inside that you're supposed to attach things to, because the clip was too large and it was just dangling there getting in the way. Then I burnt anywhere that the fabric was fraying and any thread ends that were too long, and doing so made it look nicer and it melted the fraying material together so it could not fray any further. So far this is what I keep in it and Wow does this pouch really hold a lot !6 Band aidsA Zebra H600 flashlight with a homemade head band made out of suspenders, for hands free light.A 6 inch drop forged steel crescent wrenchA small 4 1/2 by 3 1/4th inch 80 page notebook and penA large Leatherman core multi-toolA pocket "penlike" 4 in 1 ScrewdriverA 6 inch vise gripsA telescoping magnetA flat whistle from tops knivesA heavy duty peanut lighter from county commAnd pain killers and Zantac heartburn relief

Another good Maxpedition product
I love Maxpedition products for their quality, utility, and rugged good looks. I've been carrying this Mini Pocket Organizer pretty much daily for months, and it's still in perfect shape, which is typical of Maxpedition's durable products. I now have several of their organizers in various sizes, which I keep in my Jumbo Versipack, and I really like them all. The Mini Pocket Organizer is one of the smaller ones that they make (the Micro is smaller). It does indeed fit into my front pants pocket (either khakis or jeans), although it's a bit of a tight fit - it works better in cargo pants/shorts with deep pockets. The Mini has several pouches, including a mesh one on the front and two interior nylon slip pockets. There is a key ring on the top left interior and a small tie down elastic loop on the top right interior, onto which you could latch anything with a fastener. The kit can hold a variety of products, but I think the Mini is best used for small tools. I use my larger Maxpedition EDC for writing materials and a Micro for various small items (e.g., nail clippers, an iPod). The Mini is a bit trickier to fill, imo. It's a bit too small to comfortably hold most pens and pencils, although I do use the loops on the left interior for that purpose - it's a tight fit and I constantly have to tuck them into place. The right side has one large loop with three smaller loops on top of it. This is where the Mini loses a star for me, as the large loop gapes far too much. I have found it difficult to find something the right size for this loop, and it pretty much needs to be filled in order for the three top loops to become useful (or else you need something large in the pocket behind the loops). So far, the only thing I have found that fits particularly well into that loop is a Rhodia #12 pad. I'm sure that it could fit other items, but I don't use many tools, so I have limited uses for this particular organizer. That quibble, though, will not be shared by all users. I've seen pictures and videos, for example, of how others use their Mini organizers, and many people use their large loop for multi-purpose tools.
