Content is very updated. Personally, I like the sections interviewing current architect on daily life of an architect and why did they choose architecture as their career. It helps teens (and also parents) to understand more and sense if they are prone towards.

A must-have for all high school libraries
The first thing that stuck me about Architecture for Teens was the bright green cover and contemporary illustrations. This message of sustainability and a clean environment is so important to this generation. I bought this for a friend's 15 year old granddaughter who is looking for direction towards a field of study where she can combine her aptitude in math, art and spatial skills. She thought that architecture was a bit scary and mainly for men so wasn't giving it enough consideration. However, this book uses a motivating yet informational voice without being patronizing or too elementary. It does an excellent job of understanding not only what architecture is but how inclusive it is and the numerous directions you can take. In a teenager's mind it allows fantasy with the progression from historical logic to modern needs and how exciting it would be to contribute to this exciting field. My only disappointment is that I wish I would have had this available to me when I was 15.

Accessible intro for teens
I got this book for a recent high school graduate who was/is still deciding what major to take in college. I read some of the book and like the tone and enthusiasm for architecture. The pictures and organization is nice. The high school graduate read it and decided to take a course in Architecture 101. So maybe it helped them decide.
