Very cool
I have a lot of experience with Tesla coils, having built some that could produce very long sparks. This is a very noisy from the spark zaps, but give good sparks up to about 2". The sparks are continuous, so no delay waiting for something to charge. It easily light fluorescent lamps held near it. I didn't check out the music mode and haven't found the needed square wave music. One warning: Keep your phone far away. If you are doing music don't use the input jack from your phone, use Bluetooth. Again, being a professional in high voltage engineering, it is not safe having the phone nearby. So, overall I would recommend it.

Wonderful gift
My son seen this on a YouTube video and wanted one for Christmas. He opened it up today and loves it. He's 8 years old and is very entertained with it. Works well and is enjoyable to watch.

Works Well and Seems Well Made. I wish it had a power switch though.
It is really cool but why is there no power button or knob. When you plug it in it is on. I thought there would be a switch to turn it off and on.

Aaaaaa it functions
This is a fairly decent product, not completely happy with the out put in comparison to other tesla coils I've worked with. Seems a little kid gloves a step up product should be offered

Excellent Tesla coil
The media could not be loaded. This particular coil, even if made in China, is quite excellent. If you enjoy very long plasma arcs this will appease you, I have had plasma arcs as long as 6 inches, the unit has a lot of power. At power settings around 50%. It will and give you nice plasma arcs, any higher power you might risk a painful little jolt or burning sensation, just adjust to what you can tolerate, and remember no pacemakers or defibrillators should get near it, although the plasma stream travels along your skin and not internally it is still something to be aware of.Here are some videos of different ideas to play with, one is a multi-point discharge tree made from an old Baker's cooling rack. The device that lights up as an encapsulated plasma Arc stream is two glass syringe bodies glued together with electrodes at each end. The other is and encapsulated plasma stream in a plasma stream permeable acrylic tube, an electrode on each end sealed with hot glue. You just got to have fun with these things, there are so many things you can do with it, my next project is the Tesla coil pumping a helium neon gas plasma laser, hopefully video to come.
