The Single Parent: Confident and Successful

The Single Parent Confident and Successful, is now my all-time favorite re: parenting. Single or not. For grandparents (who are part time!), too! It is a wonderful gift and needs to be seriously promoted so that it gets into the hands of people who need it and/or would just plain appreciate it and learn from it - like me, a grandma. I how Linda backs every good psychological principal or example with scripture. Good psychology is scriptural! Every young family who walks through the church door should be gifted with this book. It's right up there with Dr. James Dobson. It is a gift to ALL who want to raise happy kids established in the Lord!

Having been a single-parent for a majority of my life, I looked forward to reading this book. It definitely did not disappoint! Being a single-parent & co-parenting is hard! Both are thankless, but necessary roles we are sometimes faced with. Mrs. Linda is very knowledgeable and has wonderful suggestions along the way! The real-life stories shared were so light-hearted and relatable. I recommend this book to single parents all over the world!

Linda Ranson Jacobs has provided another great tool for the single or divorced parent to become the best, most stable influence for their children.Jacobs shows the insight gleaned from years of leading both children and parents, showing how the love of Jesus Christ, paired with practical knowledge, can build up confident and successful single parents in today's society. I did not learn much from the Author words and as a single parent of a 27 year old, the process is extremely difficult and challenging - the children / offspring always seem to suffer the most due to the lack of support within the household from the missing Parent. The children are never heard properly because of the EGO and denials from the Single Parents - sure we want to believe with prayer, community support and love that all is great but it never really is great just mediocre, at it's best!
