Good Value... Works very well...
For the price of under $11 I paid, it is an extremely good value. It's larger than I expected and has the wrong automotive clips (recommend you solder some mini alligator clips) but operates very well with clear LED and clear Audio tones. Inside it contains 1 IC and 11 transistors and appears to have a sturdy construction. I purchased this to teach my son about digital electronics and it's also a very useful for real debug too.

Works fine
I've just successfully diagnosed a circuit with this. It works well. I was skeptical when I saw the clamps and thought it is for automobiles. But I can confirm it works well for CMOS and TTL boards. You can change the clamps to alligator clips or any other connectors when required. The price might fluctuate, though.

Seems OK, but the clamps are unusable for the applications and voltages where this would be used.
Seems OK, but the clamps are unusable for the applications and voltages where this would be used. The probe is essentially not practical without replacing the enormous clamps.

Works decently as far as I'm concerned.
I will admit that I knew about the quality concerns expressed by other reviewers, and so I went into buying it with my expectations set extremely low. Overall, I think this logic probe is pretty decent, even though it's not 100% perfect. But then again, I'm not 100% perfect, either.Once I made sure it was working as intended, I cut off the automotive battery clamps - which have been saved for future use - and soldered a male XT30 connector in their place, with the intent of building some of my own custom interchangeable leads, for receiving power from a wide variety of circuits under test. I love the fact that the beeper isn't very loud at all; it's definitely great for late-night sessions when I'm working on a circuit while house guests are trying to sleep. Not too bad for a sub-$15 logic probe set. I definitely look forward to testing more of the TTL chips I have in my collection, and all of my CMOS chips, as well.

Really useful tool!
I got mine at a dollar off for Black Friday so only $11 and a great deal! I have found it really useful with it detecting pulse levels off square waves etc. It is a really handy tool that i can use to detect that IC legs are outputting signals properly, etc, and for general circuit shorts and trouble-shooting. It is one of those tools that, once you have one, you wonder why you never bought one before. Great value here!
