Interesting thoughts but heavily focused on adhd
I thought the book was interesting at first and gave a free new insight into fibro. I was also excited to see a local physician as the author. However, there are significant mispellings, other printing errors, and redundant sentences that make this seem like it got thrown together without much professionalism-making it less credible for me- an example would be how the drug venlafaxine is mispelled…how did that get overlooked?! The other issue is that it focuses a lot of the idea that most people with fibro also have ADHD… someone with chronic fatigue is hyperactive? Maybe ADD… but not ADHD. And it doesn’t actually explain how one differentiate between ADHD and generalized anxiety…i find it difficult to believe, as a medical professional, that providers would consider diagnosing ADHD so easily, when its a diagnosis that usually takes extensive testing via a psychiatrist vs merely doing the screening test that he recommends. Interesting ideas but it seemed to focus too much on ADHD vs actual fibro.

Informative, Inspirational, Educational, Life changing - Very reader friendly
Dr. Lenz shares the truth, the reality, challenges and life time solutions in this book. My wife was aware of the stigma behind FM, but the book supported her daily struggles with all the topics that Dr. Lenz addresses. The book is easy to follow, not just for those with FM or ones in the medical profession because he does a great job of breaking down medical terminology and statistics. My wife considers this a “coffee table” share and read because it was fast moving and so enjoyable, but informative. My wife says “ A great read for yourself, loved ones or to give as gift. “ She closes with “Happy healthy self leads to a happy healthy household!”

Finally what I was looking for!
I've been suffering with symptoms for years and was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was handed a pamphlet and told that there wasn't much I could do and to go back to my primary care doctor for further help. My primary care doctor who knew nothing about fibromyalgia and was the one who sent me to the specialist in the first place? Yep, that one. Needless to say, I was on my own. I began researching and studying everything I could find. Then I found this book! All I can say is WOW. The clear explanations, the easy to read format, the suggestions and most of all, the compassion... Dr Lenz hit the nail on the head. This book is a must read for everyone who has fibro, who knows someone who has fibro or who works in the medical profession. I was without hope until I read this book. Now, I feel like I am not alone and have hope for the future. Thank you Dr Lenz.

I found this book and the podcast by the same name, very helpful, even life changing.
I came across this book and bought it because it seemed to match some of the things I had heard about the symptoms I have. As I read through the book and then started listening to the podcast by the same name I started to realize that I was not alone, that I had been misdiagnosed in the past and there was a real opportunity for me to feel better and lived my full potential if I got help and adopted some of the recommendations in the book. I feel so much better and I’m doing great. If you think you might have Fibro and/or ADHD, I highly recommend this book.
