Leviton 41646-W QuickPort Decora Insert, 6-Port, White

I bought multiple 6-port and 2-port of this product, they all worked perfectly with QuickPort adaptor jacks (by Leviton also) for my home wiring project. The products themselves looked a little flimsy to me and i was quite concerned they may break when inserting jacks. However none of them actually got broken. I guess the plastic material for the insert is very good and also the dimensions of those Leviton jacks are well controlled. One point that you may need to know: these inserts are directional. The top is marked out with embossed "top". I was frustrated when trying to force a jack in with the wrong direction. More expensive than some other options at Amazon but these inserts are absolutely worth the price.

So glad to have loose wires terminated and in a nice wall plate. Looks great and works well.

Bought this insert to use with VCE Keystone inserts - speaker and RCA. Both fit well and snug but still can be removed with a reasonable amount of effort if needed. I didn't have much luck with VCE blanks - they are three times more expensive than Leviton blanks available from Home Depot and the ones I've got from Amazon were of a dirty greyish color instead of white on top of that. This insert configuration doesn't however allow too much space around keystones. You may need to look for a solid 6 gang wall plate if you need more space around keystones. Walplate aestetics doesn't matter that much if you have it installed behind your media rack or sofa.

I used a few of these to replace existing plates because they offer far greater customization than the usual pre-built ones you get on various wall plates. I used these for HDMI, COAX and network jacks to outfit my tv wall plates with all the plugs I needed to get things connected. I did have an issue with one plate where the metal screw port popped out of the plastic, but it happened because I mounted my tv over it and HDMI cables were pinched so tight it was pushing too hard on the wall plate. This was resolved by moving the tv over slightly, but I did have to purchase a new Keystone plate. Other than that, they fit great in existing setups and the keystones all fit snugly inside.
