DonJoy Playmaker II, Spacer, Donut - X-Large

I have an MCL injury and my orthopedist prescribed me a Deroyal that fit horribly. Its design is simply too narrow, made for someone with straight, twiggy legs and knobby knees. As a relatively muscular woman, that brace perpetually slid down my quads and the top half of the brackets were so skewed out that it did little to prevent twisting of the knee. There was so much bunched fabric at the back of the knee, that I was left with welts and none of the suggested adjustments from the office helped. This DonJoy II is an enormous improvement. Despite being a very similar design, the fabric bunches much less because the sleeve stays put. The hinges and brackets remain in parallel and come together at the knee rather than flaring way out and gouging at my snow pants. It is very snug but accommodates my thighs. The lower straps bracket my calf muscles which locks the bottom in place. The over-under design of the top straps allows them to bracket those muscles in a similar fashion. My only quibble is the lack of spacer pads to hug the knees under the hinges, though velcro is present. Nevertheless, I'm very satisfied with this brace.

Had been a great aid in healing from a strained MCL and partial meniscus tear. I've been able to keep working every day in my job as a site superintendent for a home remodeling company. Granted I was on limited duty. But It kept the knee from twisting, over flexing and wobbling in directions that would have caused further pain and damage for the two+ months it took to heal up.

I bought this product about 3 weeks ago. I noticed the straps starting becoming a little weak from the velcro. It is a good brace but the velcro is the only thing i dont like .

I was given the original Playmaker from the doctor for a sprain but it was extremely bulky. I bought this one and highly recommend it. It's tighter than the original Playmaker but after some use the brace elastic stretches. The brace does slide down 1-2 times a day during regular use and working out, but that's to be expected with any of these types of braces.

Just buy it! If you're between sizes, get the smaller size. I have a torn meniscus and a tear in my patellar tendon. Provides every bit of support and stability I need! Breathes nice and is very comfortable. Does not impede movement at all.

Would not recommend this product AT all. Cheaply constructed, and horrible rude service when I tried to return for a refund. Will never buy again or recommend this company. Donjoy needs earn how to produce better customer service to customers

I bought two braces to support a MCL injury, this one I use for times when I am. Ring more active like playing golf or doing yard work. The other one I use when I sleep to keep my knee comfortable. They are working as expected
