Another review mentioned sanding down the splines inside the socket to get it to fit. I had the same issue. I ended up just buying another socket on Amazon and it was able to fit. If you're having this problem, whatever you're planning on buying just search "sand" "file" and "grind" in the questions/reviews of that product. If you don't find anything with those terms then that product is probably good. I ended up buying dynofit brand. I wouldn't bother sanding this product. It is too tedious and unless you have a lathe you can't remove material from all 7 splines evenly. Also before I bought this product I first bought a 16 piece master set from harbor freight. None of those worked. The 16 piece is same as 8 piece sets commonly sold, just the 8 piece sets are only sockets, whereas the 16 piece contains 8 sockets and 8 star/hex type drive. Anyways, the 7 spline sockets in those type of sets are smaller than the 7 spline you buy individually on here. Of the 3 sockets in that set which are 7 spline, one is called "7ss-5/8" one is called "7ss-11/16" and one is called "7ss-3/4" They are all too small for me. This product is larger. 3/4 is 19mm. This product is 20mm. This product would fit my lug nuts except for the spline too large problem. I am very annoyed by lack of standardization on spline lug nuts and the sockets used for them. There is a severe lack of information. I hope this review can help someone.

I couldn't find the right sized 7 spline at any of the local automotive stores,however with the help of a caliper and a very informative size chart that this product provides on its description saved the day!,the lug nut itself measured 19.22 mm,so product description just under 20mm was very helpful...seems like a well priced quality product also!

Worked on the lugs for my F350. I have custom wheels that came with the truck and someone lost the socket to remove the security lug. This one worked great.
