Worried I’ll have a robot in my house soon
Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas after he heavily hinted about it, and when I wasn’t getting excited about it (I’m not a robot wars fan myself) he continued, ‘You do know what Haynes is don’t you?’ Yes, I do.This is actually a very nice Christmas present and comes with instructions on how to make a robot (I considered buying him some metal and components to go with it but I don’t want to encourage a real live Sir Killalot in my house too much). I think he’ll be really interested in this and it shows you how basic flipper robots and other robots are made, perfect for Robot Wars fans who want to find out more about the mechanics.

Awesome
A great book for budding Robot enthusiasts. We are currently working on a robot and this book came in handy, very inspiring. Hopefully our Bot will be listed in a book like this one day.

Very high quality and goes into a lot of detail
Very well written and incredibly detailed. Doesn't just include details about building robots, but also a lot of general information about the show, such as the history of it, the rules. It has a lot of high quality images of the show as well as robot internals, which makes it more interesting and easier to understand. There are also quotes from some of the best roboteers in the show talking in-depth about robot design.I got it for £4.99 (great value), but I would recommend it even at full price if you're a fan of the show and are particularly interested in the building aspect.

Team Chimera
My husband was on Robot Wars with Chimera and it didn't work very well so I bought this book so he could build a better robot, pity they've now decided to cancel Robot Wars but there are plenty of live shows that happen around the country to build and fight robots at instead.
