One good thing is it does work because it really does ...
I just bought this item in June of 2016 for my Mother's house which has a damp basement. My Mother ended up moving and so since my dehumidifier was on the blink, I asked if I could take this one, which I did. I noticed in September, the unit was running all the time, even though I had the humidity level set to 60.... I would look at it and the actual humidity was at 48 so why it didn't shut off, I don't know. A few times I even set the clock to run for four hours but that didn't work either.... it just kept running and I know it's running because this has GOT to be the noisiest dehumidifier I have ever bought. Seriously... I can hear the darn thing when I am upstairs. One good thing is it does work because it really does pull the moisture out of the air.... although I guess if it runs that long (when it's not supposed to), what do you expect. I would not recommend this item.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE
If I could give negative starts I would. Bought from Lowe’s, which doesn’t carry it anymore so I’m writing a review here. It often runs without actually doing anything to remove moisture from the air. CONSTANTLY. LOUDLY. Our biggest problem though is leaking. Water would drain onto the floor and not into the pan. I’ve done everything possible to make sure that this doesn’t happen, to no avail. I took it apart and discovered there’s no drain tube – there’s just a channel that would lead water to the pan. AND IT STILL LEAKS. This thing is a $200 piece of garbage. A gallon of water on the floor and a quarter cup in the pan. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

While they are fine units while they work
Do not buy this or any other AeonAir dehumidifier! While they are fine units while they work, the hydrometer sensor is made to wear out quickly. The company does not make this part replaceable; you have to buy a whole new dehumidifier. (Talk about built-in obsolescence.) Mine lasted three years and when I called customer service, the employee told me that three years was pretty good. I told him that I had previously purchased two used dehumidifiers--one lasted eight years and the other six years. He did not have much to say to that.Until AeonAir produces a better unit, don't waste your money.

Let me echo others' sentiments here - do not purchase ...
Let me echo others' sentiments here - do not purchase this or any AeonAir dehumidifier. They will likely quit removing moisture for you at some near point in the future. Ours did the same as many others and it's frustrating.

Worked for 2 years & 2 months
Worked fine until then. Displayed an 'E1' error code. It wasn't in the manual, so I called them. Their advise was to turn it off, unplug it & never use it again.Warranty was for 2 years. They refused to do anything to mitigate/ repair their product. I could not find any local repair option.Had to take it to electrical recycling. So sad to see disposable product like this just litter our land fill.
