Brilliant read.
Brilliant book. Definitely made me feel better about myself as a parent, I've also lost my voice from shouting HAIR! TEETH! SHOES! in the morning trying to get ready for school, been told at the last minute about some complicated homework due in the next day after he's categorically denied he has any, and not bothered reading during the school holidays (I get fed up of the arguments trying to get him to read during term time, if I did it during the holidays too, I'd lose the will to live!).Read it in one sitting, definitely looking forward to (hopefully) many more books from this author. Yes, there's quite a bit of swearing, but it's not done for a shock effect, it reflects the average parents usage (well, myself and every other parent I know anyway!). Highly recommended this.

Smashed it Out the Park!
Despite having XY Chromosomes and not being the target audience, I read IKINTST’s Blogs/Tweets & Facebook output. Despite no longer being part of the School gate crowd, the book had some uncomfortably close situations to my own experience and had me chortling my way through the book. There seems to be quite a lot of autobiographical stories in amongst the fiction, and the author manages to interweave the two seemlessly. Those new to Kathryn’s writings won’t be left wondering what the joke is either and will find the book very accessible. It’s worth five stars and I have given this rating gladly, her first novel is a must read for all those who face the daily battle of primary school age children and getting ready for school and the guilt of working parents everywhere. I look forward to reading more of Kathryn’s writing...

#FML #TEETH,HAIR,SHOES!
Being one of the first followers of her blog, messaging her approx 11 months, ago after getting her first (of hopefully many) published book whilst hiding in my bathroom and managing the first 9 pages before I was discovered by my children! I said it would take me a year to finish this (and thats as long as it took her to write it) its only taken me 10.5 months!!!I feel like I am ABSOLUTELY SMASHING IT! LOL.This book is just a raw and honest insight into every day parenting. I actually thought for a few chapters that Katherine had spied in on my life as a Mother! It made me laugh and remember incidents with my own children and the standard repetition of TEETH, HAIR, SHOES! The story was an easy read (despite the stupid lenth of time its taken me!) Its enjoyable, fun and warm. I look forward to the next one! Thank you!

Great book....couldn’t put it down
It you need a book to tell you you’re not messing up parenthood then this is it. It’s had me crying with laughter, but also had me realising that we are all going through the same thing. The author knows exactly what she’s talking about, and the story is highly relatable, I especially identified with Gemma and how much she feels like she’s failing.Thank you for the years of laughter, and the feeling I now have of realising I’m not the only one who hasn’t read the parenting manual...or who has a child that is completely ignoring the book.Easy reading fab book

Don’t miss out!
Kathryn’s first book needs to be one of many! She is incredible. I loved this book! I was laughing out loud, so loudly in fact I had to read parts aloud to my long suffering husband. We were both rolling on the floor. The descriptions of real family life told with heart and true amusement kept me reading. I’ve come to love Gemma and Becky, lovely Jon, Tom and the kids. I was sorry to finish the story. I really hope the next book is being written as I will wait with great anticipation.Well written Funny. A joy from start to finish.
