Great book. A must have for DC fans!
This book is excellent, it has a lot of interesting information about most DC characters and events, including all the crisis, it is fun to read and im enjoying it a lot. The only bad detail about this book is the bad chosen colors for the cover (red, yellow and blue) and for the inner part of the cover (all yellow) , those colors are not nice and make the book look not as good, thankfully the real important part, which is the content is awesome and makes the book totally worth its cost. Im really glad i got it.

Its insightful
This book has a lot of information about the DC universe, some I already knew and some I didn't know. Being a DC fan I was happy with this purchase. This is a good book to have for reference or beginners first time studying DC comics. Give it a read, you will like it.

Great DCU reference
Very comprehensive for a book this size and well organized. If there's ever to be a full-on modernized History of the DCU we've found the writer for the job.

Macro to Micro, Not The Inverse
It is all there. I just prefer to start small. I am pushing through.

too metaphysical, not enough important character stuff.
I did read this entire book, but... i really didn't enjoy it, and i'm a big batman guy, but ... it seemed, to me, to be fixated on the metaphysics of the multiverse, etc. that the actual characters I thought I would be reading about. Your mileage may vary.

Not a kids book
My kids saw the cover of this and immediately thought it was for them, but it really isn't a kids book, there is a lot of detail on a lot of characters and the multiverse in this book/encyclopedia.I'm no comic expert by any means, so most of the information in here is new to me, and I've enjoyed reading about some familiar areas and others I had no idea existed previously - it really is amazing the size of the multiverse and the complexity of how it stitches together too.If you are a DC Fan this is a must have for the book shelf or coffee table, even if you are a Marvel fan I think you will still appreciate this book. At less than £14 I think this represents great value for the level of information this provides.5 stars

A fantastic introduction to the DC Multiverse
Thanks to the latest Marvel offerings (No Way Home) and the forthcoming Flash movie from DC, the Multiverse has never been more important - well important to comic book peeps and popular culture people. If you've not been a lifelong comic book fan then this book helps catch you up in the DC Universe. It is far, far, FAR from a complete guide but gives you the highlights and tasters for a vast array of characters and events, and is helpfully bookended by a glossary and index. Now, I'm mostly a Marvel fan, Marvel dominates my comic book collection, and DC I dip into every now and then, so this book acts as a fantastic guide to what's happened to who and when and where. It is also full of art work by comic book heavyweights such as Art Adams, Stanley "Artgerm" Lau, Jim Lee, Adam Hughes, the list goes on.The only negative I suppose is that maybe there could be bigger images in there, but then again, this is a book book, if I wanted images I can grab the comic books of trades. At £13.42, at time of review, this is very inexpensive and an important guide to help you understand what has been happening in the DC world.
