Be limber
The concept of installation is very basic and straightforward, pop off and unscrew a couple of panels, pull one plug, replace with this one, enjoy your phone, iPod, Zune, whatever with a 3.5 jack out. The reality, at least on my 2007 Accord no nav is yep, easy to do except replacing the plug with this one requires either a contortionist, a little kid with little hands, or, in my case, about 30 minutes of scraping my hands, cursing, contorting myself from driver and pass seats, some more cursing, then finally success! Reason being, on my specific car, the plug doesn't face downward, but faces the front and has a shield over it so I had zero sight doing it. Couldn't fit my thumb so it was up to my left hand (I'm a righty) index and middle fingers to line up the pins. Yeah, won't be doing this again. HOWEVER, the sound quality difference between this and a FM transmitter aux jack made it all worth it. How the hell can an FM transmitter not be capable of a stereo signal from 4 feet away, center console to rear window antenna on dead air channels? Well worth the work involved IMO.
