it takes about 18-1900 to make a square foot of maille. So a pound is not quite 2 square feet.

Q: Could I make a bikini top / bra with one bag of these? For a cosplay.

Depending on the size and style one bag is enough. I've made bra tops that fit a 34 DDD or 36 DD. 4 in 1 for the body and 6 in one for straps and band. I was able to make 1 complete and almost a full half of a second with just 1lb.

Q: Which would be 4 mm or 6mm ?

If the link you listed is what you are after, those are 8mm interior Diameter and just over 11mm outer diameter. If you are looking for 4mm ID you want 18g 5/32. If you read their descriptions they usually lists both ID and OD in fraction and mm. I purchased 18g 5.5mm (7/32) ID and have been very pleased with them.
