Upon opening the product, I noticed that no shaker bottle or mixing container was included. In my experience, similar gel-based hair dyes typically come with one, so I had to improvise and use a small disposable bowl to mix the dye. When dispensing the color, the product initially appeared very red, which made me concerned that the shade would not match the 4C color I purchased. However, once mixed, the color developed into more of a brown tone, so I decided to proceed. One issue I found unpleasant was the scent. The dye has a very earthy smell, and even after drying my hair, the odor remained noticeable. On a positive note, the gray coverage seems effective so far. I’m interested to see how well the color holds up over time before needing another application. Although it says it's natural, it gets a 31/100 rating on the Yuka app.

Actually covers my stubborn gray. Used it as a root touch up. It said not to leave it on past the suggested time. I was so reluctant because every other product I use I have to significantly lengthen the time. I was so shocked when I got out and saw every gray covered. I did not follow the instructions about putting all the way through at the end? I pay a stylist a lot of money for that part of my hair so I was scared. I saw another review where someone else has been using this product for 20 years and they only do the roots. Couldn’t be happier. I was so excited I wrote this before my hair dried. Will update if needed but the color looks good right now.

It dyes your hair well and lasts a long time. The main thing is to choose the right color. I was left with the impression that it dyes your hair half a shade darker. I highly recommend it.

So I started doing my hair again at home due to the prices and money being tight but also I was paying 250 for color that I was not getting and started to get disappointed at the salon. I'm to the point I just needed these Grey's covered and maybe some other color added. I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. Was using the common ones at the drug store but they failed to cover Grey's. Well I can say I am truly happy not only did this not have toxic smell it didn't burn my scalp or make it itchy. I bought the cup, and brush and mixed the color they make it so easy. I applied and waited the 40 mins while finishing up chores. The color is vibrant my hair is so soft and the Greys are gone. Couldn't be happier.Plus have more left over to do it in a month again will be adding to subscription with amazon!!!
