Half-Hexie Ruler

This little tool is amazing. I love the way it "hooks" onto the fabric. I can cut 6 layers at a time and they are very accurate. I'm so glad I splurged on this little guy! Photo is of the quilt I'm making using this tool for the hexies.

Made my sister a settler's of Catan quilt out of an easy half hex pattern. So useful, so easy to follow. This was only my third quilt overall, so if I can use this, you can too!

This "ruler" works as discribed, but there is a lot of wasted fabric. And for me it wasn't easy cutting the left side (I'm right handed) without moving fabric and ruler around. I tried a rotating cutting board, but with the long strip of fabric hanging off, it didn't turn easy. I guess it might have made the cutting go faster as I was able to finish the project fairly quickly. Just don't like all the waste. Maybe I can figure out something to use the waste triangles on.

A great tool, precisely cut. I paid a little more for this one than a few others listed on Amazon, but the cheaper ones I had to return because they were not cut at the precise angles and did not make true hexagons. This one is worth the extra cost.
