Beautiful color
Wonderful product. Covered great, much thicker than other brands. Put on out building after pressure washing with 4 inch brush.

It's a great stain
I bought a log cabin in Wisconsin that supposedly had a Skikkens finish on it but there was no way to tell for sure. I scrubbed the logs down with the recommended cleaner and applied the Sikkens stain. Because my brain isn't big enough to give you the chemical breakdown of the product, I'm going to say that this is an" oil based " stain. It works great to repel water. The life of the stain is totally based on your particular weather situation. It does work just make sure you prep your wood correctly because that is a must. Get i paint/ stain stirrer to put in your drill to keep it mixed regularly. Also get yourself an organic/paint fume respirator or you might melt your brain, allegedly. Also get yourself a moisture meter and do not apply this over 18% moisture.

Expensive but excellent stain
We used it on cedar siding and on the frame of a pole barn and a deck railing. It was a little lighter than we expected so we had to add some dark stain to make it darker. It goes on easily and, after three years, it still repels water from weathered, pressure-washed cedar siding. This is probably the best stain money can buy. But you need a lot of $$.

Coats really well
We did our cabin with this product two months ago. This is thicker than past products we used and it really absorbs into the logs nicely. Give a semi-shiny look to the wood after it dries and seals nicely. It does cost more, but I guess you get what you pay for.
