This retired LEGO set is much more expensive now but still worth for me to buy.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my son's 7th birthday gift because he wanted to use parts of this LEGO Technic Rescue Hovercraft (42120) to build a LEGO Great Ball Contruption module. The greatest feature of #42120 is alternate builds. You can build not just different shapes but also different (and more complicated) mechanical devices by using only materials this official set contains. You don't need to gather extra parts to make several mechanisms - such as Geneva drive, Lift arm, Timing mechanisms etc - at a time.This is retired product at LEGO Canada and when I bought this through Amazon I paid more than 3x the official price.Despite of the price, I bought this LEGO Technic Rescue Hovercraft (42120) toy as my son requested, because he had clear vision for a gadget he wanted to make from parts of this product. I was looking for next step of Klutz x LEGO series (Gadgets, Gear Bots, Chain Reactions, Crazy Action Contruptions) and Genius LEGO Inventions (Auther: Sarah Dees). With its official and unofficial "alternate build" ideas, this toy meets our needs.For children who loves LEGO but are not used to engineering, other sets - that currently available officially - would be better as their price and design.Instruction of Twin-engine aircraft is not included in this package. You need to download instruction from LEGO website.

Get two for the plane too!
This set is wonderful. Make sure you get both of these while they're on sale and I've heard that this set will be discontinued pretty soon. So make sure you get them now. The plane set is actually really really nice. A lot bigger than the box shows.I have built quite a few Lego sets in the past three months including bigget sets like Loop Coaster. While those just take longer due to total pieces, this one had a few parts that were pretty difficult to assemble. Took me a while to get the pieces in. It was actually the first time I felt frustrated while building any Lego set.Nevertheless, very worth the price.
