I bought this to replace an old "mechanical" milk thermometer with a dial in the hope that it would be more accurate and faster to react.This does seem accurate, but it's incredibly slow to measure - putting it into a cup of boiling water next to the mechanical one, the older thermometer reaches the correct reading in around 5-6 seconds, this takes nearly 20! I have no idea why it's so slow, and it's just as slow to take cold measurements as well.So it works, but isn't much use for anything which requires rapid readings such as frothing milk.

Very flimsy and very poor quality product, the temp display keeps freezing,don’t even bother with this product
