Mauboussin - Discovery 100ml (3.3 Fl Oz) - Eau de Parfum for Men - Woody, Aromatic & Citrus Scents

I blind-bought this looking for an alternative to Tumulte by Christian Lacroix, which is no longer around and I miss it's cedar-based blast of incense. It turns out Discovery isn't a suitable alternative for that but instead it instantly reminded me of Creed by Aventus. A very sharp, instant hit of citrus and pineapple soon fades into a mossy, mildly woody base. That's not to say this is a copy of Aventus, it isn't. It's more subtle and understated but occupies the same ball-park. Which is a high compliment indeed for a juice that is less the tenth of the price. A great daytime scent for men who want something more distinctive than the current deluge of watery, soapy, "blue" scents that are currently being marketed by just about everyone.

Never has a parfum promised so much yet delivered so little, tap water has a stronger scent. I dont know if its a rip off product or been laying in a ware house for 10yrs. It literally has no scent what so ever. I never review products but am compelled to do so in this case. Total waste of money.

Unfortunately it was so in memorable. Bottle design kind of cool in millennial green colour.

Dopo tanto cercare, probabilmente ho finalmente trovato una profumazione che mi piace molto e sarà tra le poche che non lascerò più. La persistenza è giusta, è una profumazione degna di essere annoverata in quella fascia abbastanza ristretta, di profumi che si distinguono per i più sapienti dosaggi della miscelazione delle sue essenze, si distingue dalla massa di molti altri profumi, anche blasonati, che sempre troppo più spesso si fanno il verso e competono tra loro usando più l'immagine del marchio e la politica di prezzi ed offerte, che con la qualità, che invece in questo profumo se ne annusa tantissima. Come tutti i profumi che si distinguono dagli altri, è un profumo che fa decisamente uscire dal coro chi lo indossa, non è un profumo da grandissima scia, ma chi passa vicino a chi lo indossa, non può fare a meno di soffermarsi ad annusarlo con piacere. E' adattissimo a qualsiasi stagione dell'anno ed il suo flacone con dispenser spray è molto elegante e pratico. Il profumo è sempre una scelta dettata dai gusti personali e Discovery di Maboussin, ha sicuramente incontrato i miei. Spero che la mia recensione possa essere utile.

Excellent, puissant et raffiné, délicat et chose rare, il est présent tout au long de la journée. J’achète mes parfums en parfumerie, je n’étais plus satisfait, ni par les offres ni par les prix délirants pour quelques millilitres. Félicitations au parfumeur.

Angesichts dessen, was gute Düfte heutzutage teilweise kosten, war ich auf der Suche nach etwas "Vernünftigem", das man trotzdem gern tragen mag. Da kam die personalisierte Werbung zu Hilfe und empfahl mir Discovery von Mauboussin. 100 ml für unter 30 Euro? Nach heutigem Standard kann das eigentlich gar nix sein. Aber - weit gefehlt! Gekauft, ausprobiert und ich liebe es! Der Duft lehnt sich eindeutig an Aventus an, aber gut und nicht wie diese billigen Dupes. Dazu muss ich sagen, dass ich auch schon das Original von Creed hatte, das sicherlich noch ein bisschen feiner und nuancierter ist, aber für unter 30 Euro bekommt man einen großartigen Komplimentesammler für jede Gelegenheit. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
